I carry a CZ 82. I use this ammunition: http://www.buffalobore.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=220
To my way of thinking the 115 grain flat point is a good compromise between fmj and hollowpoint, for this caliber anyway. They are expensive, though.
Steel Feed ramp. Also steel everything else, barring grips, mag follower, and a few small parts. If you're still waffling, you can add my vote to the "get it now" list. Actually get 2 or 3.
I carry my CZ-82 in the appendix position. My holster is a FIST # 17A. http://www.fist-inc.com/holsters/holster/17A.htm
It is adjustable, but I have it set to straight drop, with a med-high ride. That works best for me.
I work at a range. I am by no means an expert, but I do get to see lots of weapons firing lots of rounds, and get to fire more than a few myself. My experience with HK's:
Good:
Some are extremely comfy to shoot (p30, p2000, HK45).
Seem to be well designed and put together. Whenever I take...
It depends on what you want to use it for.
Both the Browning Buckmark and the Ruger pistols are excellent, affordable pistols that offer great accuracy and aftermarket parts support. Nevertheless, they are not as accurate in stock form as a S&W 41, or a Haemmerli or other dedicated match...
JT- yes, they spend some time with the platform, i.e. M-16, M-4, M-9, whatever, but I believe he was saying that they may not get the opportunity to test the particular weapon that they are issued.
I disagree. The OP simply asks if you would carry a gun that you had not shot. Makes no distinction on the situation.
Oh? I'm not a soldier, nor do I play one on TV, but I doubt this is the case. I don't think insurgents bother too much about this, for example. Even if it were the case, the...
It would not give me a warm fuzzy feeling to do so, but if the choice is unarmed or a gun that you are reasonably sure will work, then the choice is clear.
I saw a few other holes in the targets, possibly from other attempts? Either way, very nice shooting. I work at a local range when I'm not in school, and on slow days we set up empty cases on the target frames and shoot at those. Depending on wind and how we're feeling we'll use anything from...
I was wondering about this too. Especially with a hypothetical setup like a hot-loaded snub-nosed.357 magnum, a significant part of the powder burns outside of the barrel, when the bullet has obviously left. Perhaps lower pressure rounds, such as rimfires would allow you to make this assumption...
gearhead-
Yeah, I was just asking for demonstration. I've taken thermo courses, but not done any applications as regards to firearms, so was curious.
Bullet would heat up too.
Howdy, I read your earlier thread but did not get involved in it. One thing you might consider is that many of the posters probably felt the same defensiveness you did towards your degree when you referred to Engineering as "Physics Light". I know I did, as an Engineering degree-seeker myself...
It would be helpful if you stated what constant values you are using, and to explain your variables. It's pretty confusing.
1/2 is also a fraction, but if half of your energy was going into heating the bbl, that's not negligible. I'm sure you know this, I'm just interested to see if you have...
