What mags are you useing?

I am opening my 5th 1k pack of ammo now. But I reload a bunch inbetween cases too. I would estimate 6k to 7k in the past 2 years or less. My officers has seen about 2k no problems from either. Ok well I did not clean my tactical for 3k once and the extractor started failing due to dirt build...

pre 64 winchester is IMO the best followed by Marlin and then mossberg. I like the action of the marlin slightly better just for its solid construction but the winchester is what I grew up with. Mosberg well ok I fess up I have no experience with it at all, I cant even say I have seen one.

Go to the local sporting goods store and get a locker type safe it will be kind of bulky and less likely to walk off on you. I did that for years in my apartment. I hid it in a closet and changed the door knob to a key entry only. It was easy enough to swap the door knobs back when I left.

HUH......sure it can if you have the wrong spring, ok really it can happen maybe not so much on stock gi type guns but custom build STI and SV guns it can and does happen thats why those guns come with guide rods.

The frame on my SA GI is stamped Brazil and it had a nice little sheet of paper in the box that said Assembeled in USA I saw that on the national news maybe 10 years ago but I thought it was for the AR-15 markt though. Several days later I heard it was just rumor though. But whatever right?
