red dot sight suggestion, eotech or burris fastfire?

The Aimpoints, whether they are the older M2/M3 series, or the new T1/H1, will take the heat and abuse, no question, and they are the premier battery operated red dot, in durablity and longetivity, they can't be beat. I had a Comp M2 mounted on my 106FR, then I changed it out to the T-1...

    anybody shooting a ar180

I had a Sterling one about 18 years ago.....cracked the sheetmetal hammer..... And they were extremely popular with the Provo's and the IRA. They gave them the nickname "Widowmaker". They were still talking about them in Derry and Belfast when I was there in '99.

    Considering buying an FAL

Of the FAL's currently available, I am very partial to the DSA offerings, since they WORK, are built from top quality parts and assembled by people who know what they're doing. http://atlanticfirearms.com/programming/expand.asp?Prodid=389

Should I buy this Arsenal ak 105 package?

Slant brake? Somebody attached a slant brake to a 24mm muzzle?

Should I buy this Arsenal ak 105 package?

Buy it. SLR-105A1's are going for near $1K now.

Should I buy this Arsenal ak 105 package?

Is it a SLR-105 done up to look like an AK-105 (short barrel variant), or is it just an SLR-105 (or SLR-105A1). Either way, that's not a bad price, AT ALL.

    Sig Crimson Trace question

Nope, they don't interchange. I have a set on my P226 Tactical and I'm very happy with them.

HELP! My AK has 2 Triggers!

Picard, I've seen this first hand with out of the box Century Yugo's with unmodified safety levers, WITH THE DUSTCOVER IN PLACE. It's a known issue with Century built Yugo's, at least some of the early rifles. Send the rifle back to Century for repair.

HELP! My AK has 2 Triggers!

That's been an issue with the Century Yugo's, at least some of the early ones. Call Century and send it in for repair, that's an unsafe weapon.

    Bushmaster XCR Carbine

I've shot the Masada, it's a very interesting and promising system. I'm really hoping Bushmaster doesn't drop the ball on this one. The ACR will have some needed improvements to the original Masada design, mainly in the cocking handle layout.

    RRA chrome moly barrel?

I'd spend the money to get a chrome bore and chamber. Do NOT get the .223 "Wylde" chamber if you're going to be shooting military grade 5.56mm, the chamber will probably be too tight for reliablity. Honestly, I'd point you towards a Colt, LMT, or the new Charles Daley Defense line.

    VZ58 Folding stock woes :-(

You can build the back of the arm of the stock up some with some weld and it will tighten right up. http://www.theakforum.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=59840

They've been problematic, by and large. You're much better off getting a GI one from CMP.

    Sig 56 vs AR-15

I'd buy a Colt 6920 over either, although it looks like SIG might actually be finally "getting" it with the 556. The rifle they released initially was a dud.

    The Right AK

If the Vector has a chrome lined barrel, that's the one I'd go with. I've owned two, and inspected many more for friends, and they do a very nice job in building one.
