I was watching Shooter last night and the talk of ballistics and reloading come on the screen, so I hit pause and loaded some Sierra 180gr BTSP over 40gr H4895 on primed IMI brass for the .308 PSS. (10 rounds)
I have nickel brass that isn’t nickel anymore, save for the rim recess cut. I also have .45 auto brass that has almost lost the lettering on the head stamp. All my loads are below max too.
I use brass till they crack. Period. I have brass that I load and shoot from the early part of WW2. No...
I use an old similac scoop from when my kids were babies. I put a little dab of crazy glue in the hole at the bottom of it. I use it for tapping out rifle powder.
I genuinely thought to go, but upon leaving work yesterday with the corvette show traffic on 441 I had to err on the side of caution and lower blood pressure. Neat auction items!
I was 6yo sitting on my butt in the driveway, and my dad jammed a square carpenters pencil in the ground and pumped up his Crossman .177 pellet pistol and said “I bet you 5 bucks you can’t hit that pencil”. He shot first and missed. I rested my arms on my drawn up knees and I shot and hit it...
I'd be willing to bet that's a "pre-model 10" 4 screw gun. Looks like someone screwed a modern heavy barrel onto it as well. Wonder how many "miles" are on it?
Was comparing Safariland Comp 2 and HKS #10 speedloaders (with dummy rounds) in a couple old model 10s. Trying to see the better of the 2. Comp 2s seem pretty nice.
I melted yesterday too. A few handfuls of Clip on wheel weights in the Lee 10lb pot. Now I remember why I made a rule of not going from WW straight to pot. DIRTY!
I did enough just to fill it up. Gonna try to cast some 230gr Lee TC and some 100gr RN Lee for the .380.
