    .243, .308 and .30-06 brass

You could try the buy, swap or sell forums. But it looks like you already have it sorted. ;)

    bumping the shoulder back?

Is this whilst chambering a fresh round or extracting a fired case? You maybe able to size the base of the case enough with a full length sizer die and maintain a minimum headspace, by backing it out some, then adjusting it down and checking the sized case in the chamber. Once you find the...

    WCC 7.62 with no crimp

This often confuses. The 308win and 7.62x51mm both use .308"(7.82mm) dia bullets, whilst the bore is actually .300"(7.62mm) dia between the lands, and the groove dia is .308"(7.82mm). Just what they decided to name the calibre, from the bullet/groove dia or bore dia.

Which Powder for .223 for plinking

I voted Varget since that's what I'm using atm, mainly cause I'm using it in 308win and 243win also. But before I was using Varget, Benchmark gave some nice results, before that it was H4895.

    Question for 30-06

Orignally the '06 was loaded with a 150gr bullet and fast powders(by todays standards). But performs better(todate) with a heavier bullet and slower powders. The 7.62x51mm or later known commercially as the 308win was first loaded with the heavier 175gr bullet, but after decades of use...

    .35 Remington

In my humble opinion I don't think you will any troubles with WLR primers and H335 in a 35rem size round, unless your shooting them in the northern states in sub zero temps. If it were a magnum size round then yeah, go with the magnum primers. Sounds like ya might have some testing to do. ;)

    Powder for .223

Another powder to consider is Hodgdon Benchmark, extruded powder made extra short cut so it meters well. It was giving me some nice results in 223rem, before I decided to give Varget a try, as I'm using Varget in my 308win plus 243win and trying to minimise my powder types on hand. Like...

    Trail Boss causing squibs...

A 1cc dipper should yeild around 5gr of TB, fill a case to the bullet base mark of a seated bullet, then find a dipper that closely matches that amount. Like ArchAngelCD says fill the case(powder volume) but don't compress TB.

    Trail Boss causing squibs...

Trailboss is a low energy powder, per volume, to give similar pressures and ballistics to blackpowder (per volume) in large capacity cases. Where guys are using it in bottleneck rifle loads with jacketed bullets, most will say they're using ~90-100% of case powder capacity.

    Glockinbrassin?

And not just Glocks either, anything without a fully supported barrel and running high pressure rounds can give bulges at the case web to some degree. Glocks are just at the extreme end of the scale.

How Do I Know When It's Leading

Yep, sometimes ya may get leading which may just be a light smear of lead throughout the barrel, this can be cleaned out with normal cleaning practices. Other times leading might be so severe that accuray has declined and lead flakes come out with a bronze barrel brush pass, that's when a...

At what distance do you test accuracy?

For handguns, 25yds is a standard, but if you really wanna put a weapon to the test 50yds will sort out a true shooter, silluoette shooters go for +100yds though. For SD, odds are it will be within 7yds where practice and training become more effective than 50yd accuracy.

    Coincidence or not when reloading

Repeat anything enough times and your sub-conscious can/will influence your outcome. ;)

    Couple of questions please

    1. If your just wanting plinking ammo with mild loads, mixed headstamps are fine. If your shooting for tight groups, sorting in batches helps with consistancy. If your loading to maxmium pressures, differing case volumes between brands can cause issues. 2. Are the handloads the same bullet...

Can .30 carbine bullets be used in 30-06?

I've used 4gr of Clays with a Lee 113gr RNFP cast lead(in 308win), until one stuck in the barrel (I was shooting downward from a ridge tho). 6gr worked better but wasn't as quiet. And 11gr of Trailboss gives me good accuracy(around half inch at 50yds) with a Lee 160gr CTL-2R .312", 15gr TB...

    How does this happen?

"Gee, this darn 9mm is total rubbish, just no accuracy there." LOL, I'll bet the guy will be giving himself multiple forehead slaps when it finally dawns on him, that in fact the gun isn't a 9mm. ;)

    7.62x39

Although maximum pressure for the 7.62x39 is about 51,500psi, most factory milsurp ammo doesn't seem to be loaded anywhere near that pressure(handloading at max pressures with .310/.311 bullets in a .308" barrel maybe different, so starting low and working up is proberly a good idea). The TC...

Will 45-70 make my butt look big?

Loaded with cowboy action lead bullets and trailboss 45-70 can be a bunch fun just plinking at soda cans etc. And those large cases are fairly easy to locate on the ground. Or loads can be stepped a notch for longer range target work. And the Marlin also allows use of heavier loads(specific...

    30-06 questions.

Back in the 60's Ackley messed with the idea of trying to achieve 5000fps, by necking down a .378 Weatherby Magnum to .224cal. I'd imagine the barrel was short lived, lighting up and forcing 100grs of slow burning powder through a .224 throat. And muzzle blast would've been awsome, I guess...

    HELP!! Tell Me I Didn't Destroy 300 .223 Cases

Brass softens when heated to it's threashold temp and stays soft wheather cooled slowly or quickly. Receiving pressure blow back in the face from a seperated casehead or high pressure gas escaping past the primer ain't much fun. If the brass is discolored in any way, then it's scrap.
