5-0 Dan Wesson 1911 pistols have no MIM parts and are the best value for your money in the mid range cost for a 1911. If you bought a Taurus and did similar upgrades with a smith, you would spend more. IMHO, but you would never get your money back from that expense.

Now if you could see Jesus or the Virgin Mary in the grips, then that would be something!:D

I shoot high and to the right but 2-3 hit the bulls eye out of 7-8 rounds. Working on my grip and next time to the range I hope to be better.

I use Wilson Combat Mags in my Dan Wesson CBOB 1911's with no issue unless I do not seat the magazine completely. That is why I use rubber bumpers.
