Did anyone else notice they flashed a picture of the final 4 before the elimination challenge started? I turned to my wife and said "Guess Williams going home".
How about Wall Street with Michael Douoglas when he shows off his gun collection, including the .45 Luger P08 to his business rival. Huge collection mounted on the wall, he shows them off but they are not used or mentioned again.
It's never come up at my Doc's office, although he does have a Texas Trophy Hunters bumper sticker on his truck, but at my older sons 3 year check up the pedi said something along the lines of "of course there's no guns in the house?". I replied "You know you live in Texas, right?" The next...
Cole Hauser is the other celeb shooter. It's a very interesting competition and some of the challenges look like a lot of fun. Karl Malone and his partner have a serious work ethic and really seem to be dominating the comp at this point.
Stopped in the Wal-Mart on the NE side of San Antonio last night and was surprised to see an AR-15 sitting on the shelf. The were asking somewhere near $875 for it and two spots down was a Mini 14 for $680. They also had the above mentioned Rossi .410. Was in Abilene Texas recently abd their...

Uh, Jerry Miculek won Second Chance 4 times shooting a .357. I used a 200gr SJHP loaded in .38spl cases out of a 686 when there used to be pin shoots around here. They worked great and we were only permitted to load 6 at a time regardless of gun capacity.
I assume hunting was left out but makes for a funny quote. I was at a range when a gentleman with a new S&W642 asked for assistance removing spent brass from the cylinder. I popped the first one out with a range rod and when I picked it up I noticed he was shooting .38 SUPER in his shiny new...
Nope, just means he's got more formal education. In 20 years in hospitals I've met brilliant doctors and not so brilliant doctors and docs who could recite every lab value range they ever learned but couldn't find their car in the parking lot.
I have several pairs which are used during all kinds of shooting by myself and my kids. No complaints at all, although I can tell when someone's cellphone is going to ring because of an odd feedback I get. It's not loud, just noticable. Otherwise they work great even around guys shooting comped...
Actually I think they used that phrase and considered trespassing to be criminal mischief in refusing to file charges against the homeowner and I think even worse the gentleman was basically firing blindly into the back yard when he hit the kid. This did happen many years ago and I wasn't...
I was actually reading this thread wondering if anyone was going to mention Texas. I remember several years ago that a homeowner here in San Antonio shot and killed a kid who had hopped his fence to steal a chicken at night. The shooting was ruled justified because the kid was in the backyard...
I showed up for a falling plate match I found on line with a dot sited S&W 627. The group I ended up shooting with were not folks who competed regularly so it was kind of lopsided. One gentleman with a loaded Kimber made a comment about it being the gun that won, not so much the shooter...
Back in the late 80's my then girlfriend was raped and stabbed by a co-worker she was driving home from work. She was able to escape the attack and run several hundred yards, naked and severely bleeding to a subdivision, the third house she knocked at finally opened the door. I take that to...

I will send letters to the officers, the dispatcher and even to the sheriff.
+1 on sending a copy to the Sheriff, because it's very likely he'll put a copy in the deputies's and dispatcher's personnel files, which could make a difference come promotion time.
+3 Yup, I'd send a...
As a father whose ex has yet to be current with the support, I still don't think a felony is appropriate. It would be nice to see effective enforcement but I don't think it draws a felony charge.
Knives, guns?? Heck, my wife got a little pink high-liter confiscated last time we went to Fiesta Texas. Now that kept the park safe. Guess she looked like a real delinquent with our 3 little kids in tow:rolleyes:
