What .44 Magnum is the most fun?

They're all fun, depends a lot on what kind of shooting you do. I've settled in on 4-5 inch barrels as my favorites. Both of those pictured started with longer barrels, the Super RedHawk had the original barrel length and a scope for many years, the Super Blackhawk pictured was also 7.5 or...

    Glock in 357

I'll add before I was reloading the 357 sig I had good luck buying 500 round lots from Georgia Arms

    Glock in 357

I don't believe anyone suggested a 9mm was 'undergunned'. The question was about the 357 being available at significant discount to 9 and 40. Reloading for 357 sig is nothing to be afraid of. $100 gives you ability to shoot 40. Another $100 plus mags and you can shoot 9mm. (and get an...

    Glock in 357

Love my Glock 27 with lone wolf 357sig barrel. My main ccw. I do reload for it, and 40 also.

    Remington 721 Experiences and opinions

I have a 30/06 that was my grandfathers. Most accurate hunting rifle I've had and it's back to being my main bolt action to use over the other rugers and brownings I have. Just a great rifle that seems to shoot everything well. Sent from my Droid tablet using Tapatalk 2

357 sig vs 40 S&W water jug test

I didn't weigh them, I can do that. I think the both are going to be pretty much full weight, they both look like they're intact and performed just as designed, and I didn't have any fragments in the jugs. I know what you mean Skribs, now that I've done this, and have a bunch more jugs, I'd...

357 sig vs 40 S&W water jug test

Something I've wanted to do for a long time and have never taken the time to do it, shoot some jugs full of water and recover the bullets. I'm not posting this to start arguments between the two calibers, personally I have both, shoot both quite a bit and reload for both of them, ( and many...

Ruger LCP 380 - the bad?

Great pocket gun, can always CCW it and I love mine, but lowsy range gun for a 12 year old girl. Sent from my g04ref using Tapatalk 2

Ruger LCP 380 - the bad?

I like the LCP. Carry it a lot more than I thought I would, and after a few hundred rounds I've had no failures of any kind. I put a shotgun bead front sight on it and also a lasermax laser. Recluse holster most of the time.

Which is your favorite Ruger 22 pistol and why?

I have 2 old ruger standards, a MKI 5.5 bull barrel, and a recently acquired stainless bearcat. Had a single six at one time. The bearcat has been great fun to shoot lately, and will be with me on an upcoming week long hunting trip just to have as a fun plinker. But my go to 22 handgun when...

What are your thoughts on stuck case problem with die

You're beating a dead horse guys. On May 20 I started this thread about a problem I had with this die, that was given to me. I couldn't even get it to resize NEW UNFIRED brass. The next day I bought a new die set and they've worked fine ever since. I sent the problem die to Lyman, more...

What are your thoughts on stuck case problem with die

Thought I would do a final update to this thread, and give Kudos to LYMAN for taking care of this issue. I did send the set of dies back to Lyman, with a letter of explaining what was wrong and all the things I had tried. This morning I received a package from them that had my original...

    RCBS 10MM Carbide dies #21615 ok for 40 s&W

The resizing-decapping die is not made to crimp. The issue has already been correctly stated that the seating die crimp is too far up in the die to be reached by the shorter case. Using the sizing die to try to get it to do double duty and taper crimp on a round with a bullet in it MIGHT...

    RCBS 10MM Carbide dies #21615 ok for 40 s&W

Edit: my reply below was not to you frogo207. You are absolutely correct. Your post hit while I was typing. End edit. That's not quite how it works. If the dies are truly made for 10mm only, the 40 won't be long enough to get to the crimp portion of the seating die. You can load both 357...

What are your thoughts on stuck case problem with die

Yea I'm sure I'll get it back out and try to figure it out at some point. When I couldnt even get an unfired case to fit in the dieI knew it was pretty hopeless. The new set has worked fine. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2

What are your thoughts on stuck case problem with die

Bought a new set of dies today and sized 100 cases just as easy as it should be. I don't know what is going on with the lyman dies. Thanks for the ideas guys. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2

SxS J Stevens Shotgun needs repair

Liquid Steel, liquid metal, epoxy type products are used commonly these days. The stuff works. I've used these products for motorcycle repairs, and some gun related things and not had any problem. Degrease and follow the instructions to the letter. This is just one of those products. I'd...
