I don't know much about the 45/410. But I own a Bond derringer Snake Slayer frame and 5 different barrels.
22, 38/357, 9mm, 40 S&W and 45 acp. There are a lot of skeptics that will tell you it is not a good carry or ccw. I personally never leave home without it. I have found that they are...
I have one and I can't anything wrong with it. You shouldn't have any firing pin issues unless you dry fire it. I've been shooting mine for several years and it is accurate and cheap to shoot (no firing pin issues). It is still my preferred side arm while I'm hunting hogs. Mine is parkerized...
I own one too. I really like mine as well. It's pretty much my truck gun and I don't have a holster either. (but then again it stays in a gun rug in the truck) I thought I read somewhere that a Sig P226 holster would fit??? I don't know but I bet either the CZ holsters or a Sig will fit the bill.

Sucessful Fulltime Farrier. Have owned hundreds of different guns... maybe I still do. (maybe) Always go to gun shows to buy, sell or swap for something new. I pay cash for everything. Own my house, truck outright. I have no major debt or bills(thank God!!) Never inherited a dime but I work...
I say of course, go with the 40 s&w. But with that said I would load it with 155 gr. Hydra-Shok. You would have a hard time convincing me that 9mm is better than a 40.
I own both a XD-40 and a Glock 23. I personally perfer the Glock. It is a little smaller all the way around and and just fits my hands better. I think you would be happy with either one. IMO, 40 S&W is one of the best all round pistol calibers.
I agree with to whole 357 mag suggestion. I would also throw out there a 40 S&W. I wouldn't question my GLock 23 for even a nano second on man or 4 legged predator.
I traded my G 19 for a XD 40. I love it. But I started to miss the old Glock so I bought G 23. Now I have A great XD and a great G 23. I haven't missed the G 19 since then.
I hunt everything with a 30-30. I have a bolt action Stevens, magazine fed and a Mod. 94 Winchester. I think 30-30 is a great caliber for hogs around here. I carry my CZ 52 or My 1911A1 as a sidearm.
It has happened here probably 10-12 times this year. All random home invasions. Kinda scary. Not drug related either. It is real life. As for large large amounts of cash and highly valuable items... aren't we all entitled to have these things?
Thanks again.., I have yet to find any data that the mod. 637 internal locks have failed. From what I am finding it's mainly the larger calibers. 45,44,41,357 etc.., I found a case or two of the mod. 642 but I guess I'll keep searching.
Thanks for that info. What about the 38's though. Have they failed too? I was reading some of the other forums and they don't really mention a lot of the 38s failing mainly larger calibers. Maybe I should trade it off for something else.
Are there any documented cases that it failed and went to the default postion?
I have put ,oh let's say... LOTS an LOTS, of rounds through mine and it's just like sitting down in a chair or getting in my truck and driving off. I never doubt the chair or the truck to do its job and I don't it...
