Give longshot a try as mentioned above. I'd also recommend a lone wolf barrel for full power loads. I was getting the glock smile with my stock gen 4 barrel, not so with the lone wolf.
I've given up shooting lead out of my gp100. The chambers and throat are simply too tight to shoot lead without leading. Plated bullets have been working great and at $.09 a pop, they don't break the bank. Having to clean a leaded up barrel is just not worth a few cents a round to me.
Bought 250 rds of this stuff to run through my new gen 4 G20. I put some rounds through my chrono and was kind of disappointed. Five shots averaged 1206 fps and underwood advertises 1300 fps.
Don't get me wrong, a 180gr bullet at 1200 is no slouch, but I was expecting a little more. I also...
My go to load is a 115 rn over 5.5gr unique seated to 1.130". However, I'm really liking power pistol in 9mm because it meters so much better than unique.
You should be fine with plated bullets in 10mm as long as you aren't cranking the velocity with light bullets. I've had great success with xtreme bullets in both 9mm and .357 at over 1200 fps and they shoot great. Just ordered a bunch of .40 cal bullets to put some 10mm rounds together.
4.4gr is going to be a mouse fart. 5.6gr only gives me an average of 775 fps from a G21. I would agree with others that say to work up as I have, but I am confident that 5.3 is a perfectly safe load.
