You can get shooting (safety) glasses that are magnified or prescription...…..just don't tell your son!
When I first started carring off duty (mandatory) I was like just most people and thought every eye was on me. I'm sure some were because it was a 4 inch Model 19, couldn't afford anything else at the time. After a while you you'll feel lost without your weapon.

I have used weapons with the magazine disconnect for 17 or 18 years and have learned to live with them. They have all been issue weapons. Still don't care for the PC reason they are there.

It is a little further than you requested but take U.S. 33 west. Just after you cross into W. Va. look for the sign. Covered benches etc.This is a public range in the GW National Forest. On the north side of 33 about 2 - 3 miles from the hard road.
