    LCP in back pocket?

Does anyone carry their LCP in the back pocket in a wallet-type holster? I'm wondering how well these little guns hold up to the abuse of being sat on for hours on end. Any problems to report? How about accidentally depressing the mag release?

    LCP magazine wiggle

I've only tested it with an unloaded mag, and I would guess there is about 1/16" - 1/8" of movement.

    LCP magazine wiggle

I bought a new LCP on Saturday, and noticed that when I insert the magazine, it has a lot of front-to-back wiggle. Is this normal? I haven't been able to shoot it yet to know if it's causing any problems. Thanks

    ruger p90 vs. p97 vs. p345

I voted P97. It's a little smaller than the P90, and doesn't include any of the lawyer stuff the P345 has, although, I do prefer the ergonomics of the P345 more. My P97 has never had a failure of any kind, and is very accurate and easy shooting. Plus, I picked it up NIB for under $300.

    Calling all SP101 owners

Check out the Pachmeyer grip. It really fills the hand without being overly large. Much better then the factory grip or the Trausch grip.

    Best grip for an SP101??

I've used the factory grips, Trausch grips and Pachmayer grips. I Loved the Trausch grip - very comfortable, but they were way to big for CCW. Once I got my Pachmayers, I never looked back. To me, they are the perfect hand-filling grip, and the best compromise between size and comfort.

Anyone else wish they made a smaller Revolver??

I would love it if Ruger would bring out a 5-shot LCR chambered in .327. I believe it could be made a little smaller then the current .38SPL version, while still retaining it's strength.

what CC pistol should i buy this weekend?

I don't think a Glock meets the OP's requirement for DA/SA or DAO trigger. I know that the Glock is technically a DAO, but, in all practically, it is more like a SA. Consider the OP's other CC weapons - LCP, 642 etc - all of these have nice long (and hard) trigger pulls. I think that is what...

Writing Ruger's President for a New Revolver

No no no! The thing we want is a 5-shot snubbie chambered in .327. The .327 chambering should make the cylinder thinner, thus making it more 'pocketable'.

Whats to say about the Sig P226?

I bought my Sig226R from Cabelas last December. Since then, it has been back to the factory twice for the same problem (hammer wouldn't fall when trigger pulled). I haven't tried it since I got it back, so I'm not sure it's been fixed. Other than it not working, I love it :D

    Another First Handgun sorry

I would recommend a stainless Ruger GP-100 with a 4" barrel. It's probably the most general-purpose firearm you can own.

    642 vs 442

Is the cylinder the only part that would rust?

    642 vs 442

Hi, When comparing the 642 and 442, does the 442 require any additional maintenance due to it's finish? Is the cylinder more susceptible to rust than the 642? If I remember correctly, the frames of both are aluminum, but the cylinders are either stainless (642) and carbon steel (442)...

Revolver vs Semi-Auto For truck Gun

For me, the revolver wins. Less chance of something breaking / clogging / not getting enough lube / jamming etc. If you just want to throw something into you truck, and forget about it, definitely pick the revolver. Plus, the chances that you'll actually need to use it are slim, and the...

SP-101 for woods protection - which ammo?

Does anyone have experience shooting Buffalo Bore or DoubleTap ammo from a 2 1/4" SP-101?

SP-101 for woods protection - which ammo?

ArmedBear - do you have a link to that ammo? I'm just south of you in Utah. The worst I would expect to run into are black bears.

SP-101 for woods protection - which ammo?

I've got an SP-101 in 357 magnum, and I'm curious to know how recoil would be with some of the heavier woods-protection rounds? Does anyone have experience shooting this type of ammo from a snubbie? How much velocity would I lose over a 4" barrel? Thanks

    686 Pre-lock for $475?

Is $475 a good deal on a 4" Pre-lock 686? It looks to be in pretty nice condition.

    S&W 642 "Freedom Protector" model?

Has anyone heard of the SW642 Freedom Protector? It's basically a S&W 642 with the words "Freedom Protectod" engraved on the side. Is there anything else different about if from a standard 642?

How do you use your GP100?

How do you all find yourselves using your GP-100? Plinking, hiking, HD? I really want to get the 4" model, but it's hard to justify the $$$ for just another plinker.
