Ruined how? You probably need to back off your expander die. Wouldn't be a bad idea to stop right there and go back and reread the instructions that came with your dies. They will tell you exactly how to set them up in the press to work properly.
I have three Lyman tumblers, a Turbo 600, a Turbo 1200 Auto-Flow, and a 2500 Pro Magnum. All three of them run almost constantly the 1200 was the first one I got and it has been going for about a year now. A few months ago I picked up the 600 just for cleaning case lube off .308 brass and I...
I was just wondering if there was some specific reason neck sizing is not recommended for auto loading rifles? I was ordering a neck sizer for my .308 Remington 700 SLS and was going to pick one up for .223 for my AR-15, but noticed that they do not recommend neck sizing for pretty much...
When I first started casting, not too long ago, I just picked up a Lyman 4500 luber/sizer, sizing dies and top punches for the various calibers a load, and a bunch of sticks of Lyman Orange Magic lube.
A this point with as much as I shoot I wish I could afford a Star.
When your brass starts falling closer to the gun. A good spring of the correct weight should keep the empties around six feet from the gun.
Also, IMHO, ISMI makes the best 1911 recoil springs.
I'm a .45 guy as well and I still like my 9mm guns. I cast my own bullets and reload and the 9mm is absolutely dirt cheap to shoot. I actually bought three more 9mm pistols after my first one just to have some variety at the range. Those little 90gr and 124gr cast bullets use up a LOT less wheel...
I made a brass catcher. Just used some 1X2 to make a frame about 24"X18" and used some fiberglass screen to make a net on the frame. Then I attach the frame to a camera tripod. Pretty simple, I just stand with the pistol right next to the frame opening and all the brass falls into the screen...
I carry my G30 in a Kydex IWB rig I made for it everyday, it goes in and out of the holster a few times a day and the finish is fine. Just keep the gun and holster clean, it's the crud and scratches your gun or knife inside the kydex.
Yep, NY sucks bad. I really, really, hate this s@&$ pit. Wish I could move, but for now I'm suck swimming in the cesspool with the liberal up here. Gives me about three headaches a week thinking about why the heck I left AZ to come back to this hole.
Interesting. I have a PT1911 and a PT92 that are fine guns. I did have a 24/7 that just sucked. With all my other pistols I can shred the Bullseye out of a target at 25 yards, that 24/7 was like shooting a damn shotgun. Just to make sure it wasn't just me I had a few other people try it as well...
I don't own one myself, but by all accounts it's not a bad gun. They are just god awful butt ugly though. :barf:
I thought about picking one up just to throw in the console of the Bronco and forget about until I needed it, but nobody around here stocks them.
Honestly for a carry gun I would...
Ah, I see. Yeah, being patient when you want to get a new gun out to the range is a huge test. :o Sounds like you're handling it a lot better than I do. :D
I had a 24/7 .45 for about a week before I traded it in for something else. Did NOT like it at all. I like my Taurus 1911 and PT-92 just fine and they're good guns, but that 24/7 just sucked. Trigger, accuracy, and reliability were all less than stellar.
