    Pistol Caliber Carbines sighting range

Here’s what I picked up. It’s an Extar EP9. I’ve had it to the range a couple times and it’s a tack driver at 30 yards. This thing weighs in at slightly over 4 pounds empty and probably closer to 5 pounds with the 33 round mags loaded. I’ve put about 250 rounds through it so far and no...

    Your Favorite .22

Remington 597. I liked the first one so much that I bought a second one.

What is the last gun that you bought?

9mm carbine PDW. I just got my EOtech mounted and sighted it in yesterday at the range!

    Marlin announcement from Ruger

I would be interested in the trapper in.357 Mag to go hand in hand with my Ruger GP 100.

    Pistol Caliber Carbines sighting range

I recently purchased a 9mm pistol carbine and I was wondering at what range would any of you recommend zeroing it at?

    My Mossberg Epiphany

I too was a Browning and Remington man for many years, until I won a Mossberg 835 Ulti-Mag at a gamefeed raffel. It was not what you would call pretty with the dull parkerized finish and plastic furniture. I kind of turned my nose up at it. I eventually took it to the range and really fell in...

Any help with what choke this thing takes?

I would bet that any gunsmith would be able to help you out with this issue.

    Mossberg 835 as slug gun?

I have the Mossberg 835 setup for Turkeys and I have a rifled barrel for shooting slugs for deer hunting. I use ghe same gun to do both. As a turkey gun I’ve taken turkeys out to 65yards with it. For a slug gun it will accurately shoot out to 100 yards for the first three shots, but then...

Two rifle set for North America hunting, what cartridges would you pick.

I honestly think you could do anything with the 30.06. The versatility in loads and bullet types makes this round very utilitarian. I do love the .270 win also, but the versatility in loads isn’t quite as good as the 30.06. Both calibers are fairly popular so ammunition availability and costs...

    Blackhawk or GP100?

I don’t own the Blackhawk, but I have fired one that belonged to a friend of mine. I do own the GP100 so I am probably biased to it, but that would be my recommendation. In SA the trigger is smooth. Firing it in DA the trigger pull is somewhat heavy, but still smooth with a clean break. The...

    What was your favorite Shotgun

My favorite shotgun of all time would have to be my “Ted Williams” 12 gauge from Sears and Roebuck. It has a poly-choke on the barrel. If I could only have one gun....that’s the one I would choose. You can dial up your desired shot spread and it fires slugs accurately out to 100 yards. I...

Foster slugs out of a rifled barrel?

I was wondering what issues there might be with regards to firing foster slugs from a rifled shotgun barrel? Safety? Damage of any kind to the gun? Accuracy? Etc.

    Slugs through a semi-auto?

You shouldn't have any issues unless you are using a Mossberg. Some Mossbergs are overbored and the Company doesn't recommend shooting through anything but their slug barrels on some models. Otherwise anyone else I would say there's no issues. My dad's family that's all they hunt with are...

Scope suggestions for new rifled 870

On the slug barrel (detached), that is a Nikon Pro Staff. It will cover you out to 100 yards and perform flawlessly at 50. They also have a lifetime warranty on them. Very good glass and seemingly holds up well through a lot of use.
