    help picking a press

For only 300 rounds a month, any single stage would be plenty. A Lee hand press would even do, and give your chest some exercise as well. I have run 2000 rounds in a week on a Pro 1000, without spending all my free time doing it. Just do what CQB45ACP says above. Buy what you want to buy and...

    = $95 = Viridian Serac 6-24x50 (30mm tube) - Natchez Tax Refund Sale

Is the scope centered? I tried some of those and the scope was off-center by quite a bit. The 3/8 vs 3/8 rounded, vs 11mm standards are frustrating.

    .22 Rifle Accuracy

I ran over 40 different ammo types through my oldest 10/22. It REALLY liked Wolf and one of the Eleys. But it liked Winchester White box "555" almost as much (of all things.) So of course, when going to my first Appleseed, I took a big box of Winchester. At the end of day, I had shot...

Rifle optics: a blue collar spending perspective for cost / benefit

My most reliable, predictable scopes, and generally usable scopes are SWFA SS 10 or 12x that cost <$300. It is far easier to make a good Prime lens than a variable, and FFP vs SFP is irrelevant on a fixed power optic. The scopes I like the least (including Sig, Nikons, Hawke, Hammers...

    Western reloading supplies

They list Trail Boss in stock for $27.99/9oz I say 100% scam.

I don't want a Sig P365. Tell me why I'm wrong or offer options.

I love my P365, I kept it based on size, capacity, natural point of aim. They are accurate shooters. With that said, with your stated reasons, I would at least look at the Shield EZ. Less rounds, but it does do what it says on the box. Easy to rack, nice size. I have shot them in 9 and .30...

Just got a new Teslong Bore Scope

I think those comments are generally true when you talk about rust, tool chatter, etc. I have turned in good groups with what looks like a sewer pipe under a bore scope. There are barrel problems you just can't fix sometimes, but if it shoots well, it's better not to know ;)

    Swedish Mauser Loading Question

I think Hodgdon's data may be aggressive. Speer #15 goes into the best detail of the manuals I have on hand concerning military Swedish Mausers, and they say keep military actions under 46,000psi (yes, I know the difference with CUP.) The Hodgdon 4064 recipe: for 140gr bullets: IMR 4064 3.030"...

    Gun Security App

OK, from someone who did IT security for many years, there is good and bad here. At it's core, the device looks to be using some kind of short-range radio to announce itself to your phone. Probably some form of Bluetooth low-energy. Which means that there is no reason for a cloud connection...

    Swedish Mauser Loading Question

My best performing loads are 156gr bullets I got as a Midway blem over 4831, and 140 Barnes Match Burners over 4064

    Garmin Xero C1 Pro Chronograph

Yes, you can set bullet grains and it will provide more calculations and set session notes for load, etc. If you do this before you export to xls format, the notes are included in the export.

    .22 revolver?

I have 2 DA .22lr revolvers, both of which have decent triggers and good accuracy. They are the Taurus 942 and Rossi R98 Plinker. Of the 2, the Rossi has a ligther trigger, but it also has at least 1000 more rounds than the Taurus. The sights are windage and elevation adjustable on the Rossi...

What new rifles are most exciting to you this year? Or over the past year?

To add to this list, they cleaned up the bolt so that cycling it doesn't sound like you are walking in corduroy pants.

    100 grn 300 Blackout

    Reasonable cost 7.62x39 Upper

I have an older PSA upper that works 100% with a standard lower and cproducts/asc/d&h. I think the misfeed reputation came from before dedicated mags came out for them. I have not heard of any uppers made in the last 10 years that have had issues to my recollection. BCA has really been...

Thinking about a RIA 22 AR style.

I would generally recommend the CMMG dedicated bolt and barrel kits, but they have gone up a lot in price. I never got acceptable accuracy from their conversions (although the conversion kit can be"upgraded" to the dedicated by buying their barrel. However, these days it's hard to pass up BCA...

    Bullets matter!

So basically, you would: -Shoot 10 Foulers -Shoot 10 Groups of 3 shots each (at 200+?)- I assume: -wait x minutes/seconds between shots -alternate charge weights beween shots -reset rifle position between shots -Plot the POI for all shots -Look for a mean (median?) POI and narrow down...
