    First Autoloader!

Got it! Haven't fired it yet, but darn that feels like a real piece of hardware. I think I'm going to be very happy with my acquisition. Now if I can just figure out how to disassmeble it :) - scratch that, got it - the slide stop was just tough to get out...guess cause it's new.

    First Autoloader!

CCW? Do people conceal-carry the P-01? I know the PCR is a little better suited, but the P-01 seems to be an ok size for concealment. Any thoughts?

    First Autoloader!

I was the proud owner of a Ruger GP-100 4" .357, and now with the addition of a CZ P-01, I officially have a collection :) I've enjoyed firing the GP-100 at the range, can't wait to try the CZ. It's on its way from Buds Gun Shop this week! Will post picks when my new baby arrives.

    Good 9mm Carry Semi-Auto?

I know this is kind of open-ended, but you guys have given me great advice so far (led to the purchase of a Ruger GP-100), so I figured I'd shamelessly solicit once again :) What's a good conceal-carry 9mm?

    Ruger SR9 vs S&W M&P 9

Which one is better - all around? Quality, ergonomics, reliability, accuracy (depends mostly on the shooter, I suppose)...anything else?

    Ruger GP-100 as first gun

So I finally got to the range. Sweet firearm, very solid to hold. I fired mostly .38 Special, which barely made the GP-100 move, but I also fired some .357 just to get the feel...kicked my butt a little bit, but I was still fairly accurate. The Blackwater sniper team in the lane next to me...

Online Ammo Orders - .38 Special

Hey there - just bought my first firearm - a Ruger GP-100 4" revolver. I'm looking for a place to order ammo in bulk online to shoot at the range. I was thinking I would shoot .38 specials at the range to get the feel for the gun. Any advice on a good place to order from? Is remanufactured...

    Ruger GP-100 as first gun

Thanks a lot for all the great words! I went to Virginia Arms Co. today and bought the gun! It's the stainless steel version with a 4" barrel. I'm excited to head to the range to get to know the gun better, but it feels great in my hand. It might be my first and last revolver, but I'm almost...

    Ruger GP-100 as first gun

Thanks guys...and you're welcome JCMAG...except there's a weird law in Virginia that makes it illegal to buy more than one handgun within 30 days, so you'll have to wait at least a month :D

    Ruger GP-100 as first gun

Ok, so this is my first post, go easy on me. After a month of deliberation and lots of money spent trying different guns at the range, I've decided to purchase a Ruger GP-100 4" barrel revolver as my first handgun. Anyone have a good reason why I shouldn't? :) I tried a number of revolvers...
