I also had trouble w/ two lightweight 94's, both brand new out of the box did not work(light hammer strikes). I had a great dealer w/ a range, so both were fired just after purchase. After the second one, he refunded my money, I saved some more and bought a S&W 317, very happy w/ the Smith.

I'm new to the C&R concept. What are the restrictions on selling a C&R Handgun, If you hold a C&R? Do you just go by your state FTF laws? Sounds like a fun way to try out some things and then pass them on if it's legal.

My Wife also likes her Smith 317 w/ 3in barrel. I tried 2 different Taurus 94's, trying to save some money, I got what I paid for. I never left the gun store/range w/ either. Neither would work new out of the box, dealer gave me my money back.

I have to say a Walther P22, my first 2-300 rounds(break in) were rough but now it runs like a champ, w/ cheap Remington Golden HP($15.97 for 550 at Wally World) or Winchester 333 HP's. Fun handgun that the whole family enjoys.

I second the Remington Golden Bullet HP's ($15.97 for 550 at Wally World) I have about 600 rounds thru mine, tried alot of the cheap stuff, excellent luck w/ the Remington Goldens and a close second is the Winchester 333 HP. Not so good luck w/ Federal Bulk or Wildcats.

Quick update my local dealer ordered a 94 Ultralite 2in SS, picked it up walked out to his range, I got lite strikes about every 2nd-3rd shot, he tried, same results. He let me take home a normal weight 94 until he could get a new one in, It worked fine, just a very heavy DA, not the fun...
