Ran into my former boss recently at the gun range and he was really talking up his Kimber 45 (I would guess a mid price one but not certain). I was thinking the Springfield TRP would be a nice one to compete against but not really sure - any suggestions in the $1000-$1500 range?

In the last few days I have tried almost every gun there is and the XD9 fit my hand the best overall. My question is this, can the barrel on the XD9 be changed out to the match barrel that the XDM has or is there an aftermarket barrel that can be put on the XD9 for better accuracy?
