I once used a Dan Wessen .357 to prune a couple branches that were too close to the stove pipe. It took about a box and a half of ammo. Another time the wife came home complaining about water in her VW rabbit. I went and saw about 2" of water. I didn't have a Makita at the time, so I looked...
sm, thanks for the reply. The barrel is chambered for 3" and says not to use 3" unless you have a mag receiver. This barrel won't reliably cycle low base shells but does well with hi base. I am more concerned with ruining the action as I had not heard of 2 3/4 mag shells (I don't get out much).
I have a model 51 I found used and pitted. I gave it an action job, bead blasted it and had it redone in satin nickel. You will have to pry it from my cold dead fingers.

I used to hunt doves with a guy that used a double. One shot, one bird. It was embarassing. He'd bring one box of shells for a weekend hunt and I'd bring 4. Hunting with a rifle though, the tables were turned. I could reclaim my dignity
I have a question on ammo. I've received a couple boxes of Remington 12ga, 2 3/4, MAG, #2 steel shot. Never seen such a thing before. Would this be too much for a 60's era model 1100 with a 1999 after market barrel?
