    Cantilever Barrel for 10/22 Takedown

But doesn't that defeat the entire point of the take down?

    Necks contracted after annealing

I just found this out the hard way last week, annealing will in fact shrink the neck. I neck sized and checked with a headspace gauge before and after, neck sizing should be enough but check for yourself. Anyone resizing brass should have a gauge after all.

NFA tracker estimate just keeps getting longer. Accurate?

I know I will be adding a couple to that list before the rule change goes in. I'll wait as long as it takes as that will be the last I buy. Unless of course we have Cruz as president and he restores out firearm freedom. :)

    Ballistics assistance please...

Gonna need to know muzzle velocity, bullet weight and manufacturer. Barrel twist rate and elevation might help as well.

Is open carry Texas really against us?

I'm so disgusted at this comment I can't even begin to convey in words how I feel. I will say that for far too long this board has been a harbor of anti 2A advocates. I don't think I'll associate myself with this board any longer.

    New changes to Florida FS493; .40S&W, .357sig, .45acp....

Just for clarification its the "Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services" and their Division of Licensing who has regulatory authority on these issues. And as a side note they do require a yearly re qualification for G licensees.

    New changes to Florida FS493; .40S&W, .357sig, .45acp....

I'm familiar with the current regulations and its really handicapping, bordering on putting everyone at risk. The regulations state that you can only carry a .380, a .38spl , a .375mag loaded with .38spl, or 9mm. And all loads have to be factory fmj. Shooting to stop a threat with any of the...

    7n6: what's the big deal?

7n6 is just cheap ammo, that's all. But now since the ATF is a completely unaccountable antigun bureaucracy, they decided to turn off the flow of cheap ammo just to thumb their noses at us. A rifle round is capable of defeating most body armor no matter what its made of, always has been the case.

Louisiana:Hunting with Suppressor Bill Passes House, Goes to Senate

I would urge those who are not up to speed on suppressors to become more knowledgeable about them, their use and their characteristics prior to casting blanket judgement. It would not be very different than those who have never had experience with firearms supporting more restrictions because...

    trying to duplicate mk262

I have a feeling thats going to be the case. With the powder supply being what it is currently I don't have any other choice. Hopefully I can get to 2600fps and great accuracy. That I could live with.

    trying to duplicate mk262

So I'm trying to match a mk262 loading for my rifle. I'm using lake city brass fed 205 primer 77gr nosler 25.0grn of mr pro 2000 which is giving me about 2515 fps from my 16" barrel. The factory lists max charge velocity from a 24" barrel at 2,856 and I'm getting 2515 from a 16" barrel...

NJ legislature makes deal - 10 rd limit exchanged for reasonable deviations

Gonna have to point out a rule. If I get censored for it dont see why anyone else shouldnt. 4. Spamming, trolling, flaming, and personal attacks are prohibited. You can disagree with other members, even vehemently, but it must be done in a well-mannered form. Attack the argument, not the arguer...

CT: The "Destroy or Hand Over Rifles & Mags" Letter

I don't believe it works in the way you are describing. The only way I can see that it would work is if they at some point in time they decided that even if you registered it, possession is no longer legal. Then you could say well you violated my Right not to self incriminate by forcing me to...

CT: The "Destroy or Hand Over Rifles & Mags" Letter

Well SilentStalker, the way they worked it the registration period was open and closed before it was a crime to possess the items without registering them. So its only by peoples own error or the State's unwillingness to count registration forms received in the first week of January, that they...

CT: The "Destroy or Hand Over Rifles & Mags" Letter

Some might call that provocative for a board like this, especially coming from a moderator. I would say it's about time! Bravo. Having just moved out of CT and having gotten into heated debates on this board only to be censored by moderators, I'm still kind of peeved. But its nice to see things...

NJ legislature makes deal - 10 rd limit exchanged for reasonable deviations

He is entirely wrong. The question has not been addressed by scotus and therefore has not undergone the final test of Constitutionality. For you to say that he is right and mag limits are Constitutional is entirely incorrect precisely because it has not undergone a scotus test. Only after it has...
