Our LGS had extremely high prices. I priced a new Sig P938 from them and they quoted me $789.99 (they had to special order it). I checked gunbroker and picked one up for $590 shipped. I love supporting the local guys, but a $200 difference? No thank you!
I just purchased Federal 100 count value pack last night from my local Wal-Mart for $33.49. Thats roughly pre-panic prices. I may also add that the ammo was nearly full on the shelf. I have never seen that much ammo in stock since November 2012. It's starting to become more available.
My wife has carried a Sig P938 for roughly a year with no problems. We have put around 600 rounds through it without a single FTF or FTE. I am highly impressed with the firearm.
I saw this coming years ago. I purchased 12K rounds of .22LR when it was $11.99 per 550 rounds. I hope that this will last me an additional 10 years. I don't consider myself a hoarder at all. I looked at it as an investment because I knew the prices were going to go up.
I think everyone should...
I purchased a Lyman trimmer on sale at my local Cabelas. When I got it home I noticed that the pilots were missing from the box. The box did not appear to have ever been opened. I called Lyman and told them the situation and stated that I lived a little over an hour from Cabelas and they said...
mljdeckard - You run 5.5-6.0 grains in your 1911 with a 200 grain bullet? My 1911 wont even cycle with that low of a charge. I had to hit 6.2 grains before mine would even cycle the next round. I found the best shooting out of my Springfield to be 6.6 grains.
To the OP - That is way too hot...
Ala Dan,
If more people in this Country had your attitude it would be a far better place. I wish you the best of luck with your health and troubles.
May God bless.
