    Favorite .357 sig practice bullet

Agree with Montana Gold 125 bullet for .357 Sig with straight sides for good crimp. MG is great in other calibers too.

    870 tactical vs the others

My son-in-laws and I picked up two of the Remington Tacticals - very pleased with them. Two issues, both guns had sticky chambers that had to be polished/honed. Not sure if just rough or if a little of the 'tactical' coating ended up in there. And neither gun liked Winchester low brass...

    .357sig & .356 plated bullet question

Check out Montana Gold and their .357 Sig bullet. Only thing I'll use in mine (unless I run out). Good bullet and designed just right with a longer-straight side for the bottlenecked .357 Sig. Berry makes a good bullet, but can't be driven at high speeds. With a .357 Sig one 'needs' the...

    Montana Gold Bullets

Great bullets. I've been using for years and just received another order a few weeks ago. I shoot .38/357, .357 Sig (MG makes the best bullet for this caliber), .40, .45 ACP, 44, and .45 LC. I like them all. Haven't tried the .223 though, maybe soon. You won't go wrong.

    Which to buy?

Just received another order of Montana Gold bullets. They had the .357 Sig bullet back in stock so ordered some more of them along with some .38s and .44s. MG makes a great bullet, good price, very good service and delivery. Been using them for years in multiple calibers besides the .40 and...

Need scope or red dot for AK

Try looking at Primary Arms. http://www.primaryarms.com/ Depending on how 'rugged' you need, these are not bad and the price is right. If you need true tactical, Trijicon ACOG is my first choice.

    RCBS vibatory tumbler went down

I have two vibratory tumblers - sold by Midway. Older one has run for years with no issues at all. The newer one has broken both of the electrical wires off at different times. I had to splice an extra piece of wire in each time to get enough length for the repair, but the tumbler is still...

    Montana Gold Bullet - FMJ .357 bullets - opinions/experiences?

Used MG for years, .357 Mag, .40 S&W, .45 ACP - all are great. Favorite is the .357 Sig bullet (9 mm) because it reloads so nicely in the short neck case. Hard to find locally, so I just order in bulk and shoot for long time.

LWRC REPR 20" vs Super SASS 20"

I really like my LWRC , but also learning to enjoy a new Para TTR :D. Both great rifles, but very expensive. CPR Kirk

    Your opinion please

Agree with Backpaker33 See Backpacker33 above - not all Taurus handguns are bad, but very few are any good at all for real shooting. Learned my lessons the hard way (as usuall).

    Midway has SPP

Midway is no different that other dealers carrying primers. Once any type of word gets out the primers are long gone. Still too many folks buying too many and not sharing. I've been backordered with Cabelas for months now for S/LPP- they tried to cancel me a month ago, but a phone call put...

    44 Rem Mag die question

Best luck with Redding - always get carbide when available regardless of price. Also like Dillon when using a progressive press - again carbide. RCBS have been fine, Lee is okay. Hornaday (older dies and progressive press) have all gone on down the road for one reason or another.

44 Mag light load for target/plinking

Cowboy loads of Clays - around 4 - 4.5 grains. Laser Cast 240 grain SWC. Clean, low recoil, fun even after 1000s of rounds.

    Opinions on Taurus 605??

Just got rid of my one and only Taurus revolver - did not hold up and several attempts at spring replacement or repair made no difference. Good ridance and looking for a S&W or Ruger to replace it.

    Lancer L5 Mags

As indicated above, updated L5 followers are black (older ones are green). Also as I understand, the newest version has minor modifications to mag body. Not all Bushmaster rifles have problems with L5s - but my two older ones did. The issue was a failure to lock the bolt back after the last...

    ProMag Magazine AR-15 223

    Lancer L5 Mags

Picked up five Lancer L5 mags and had issues with them in Bushmaster rifles. Contacted Lancer and Scott made it right. He sent me the newer model mag with updated follower which solved the problems. I like the mags and appreciate the great customer service from Scott. 'Nuff said.:) CPT Kirk

    ramshot powder

Have tried several types of Ramshot powder in both pistols and rifles. Good stuff. Still use some, but prefer Vihtavuori, even though it's more expensive.

    Cleaning brass without a tumbler?

Not claiming to be an expert, but do have 30+ years of public and occupational health/safety experience. Using a washing machine to clean brass, even with the primers removed, is not a good idea for the reasons mentioned above. And yes I know that plenty of 'things' go into the family laundry...

Just what Do You Get For The Hazmat Fee?

ReloaderFred has the correct information on this topic. But several others have noted that there is no real difference in how the packages are handled (dropped, kicked, thrown, whatever) by the drivers even after they have the training. Only thing to add is that the shipper (seller) has to...
