I'd love to stop worrying about a felony if I reach for a box of Wheaties at the grocery store and accidentally expose my firearm. IMO, Open Carry is a right withheld from the citizens of Texas. It's about time we demand it...again.

I have had luck with the Galco Silhouette High Ride Holster and the Stow-N-Go IWB, depending on pant style. Both conceal just fine when worn with just a loose box over shirt. XD is big for tucking IMHO, I have a J-Frame and a NAA I use with a pocket holster if I need to tuck in or go T-shirt...

If I don't trust a pistol it gets removed from the collection, but of the handguns I might carry out, the S&W 638 is the least likely to have any problems.

I have had a reliable PT92 for 11 years and love it still. I even prefer it to the Beretta 92.

IMO +1 C1 in most guns is still safer than losing 1-2 seconds in C3. I wouldn't like racking my slide to be a part of any bad scenario I can think of. It took me around a month of daily carry to stop sweating C1. It can be tough at first for some of us. Hang in there.

I'm sure it's different State to State, but in Texas I think a citizen showing a CHL generally makes LEO's more comfortable during traffic stops, etc... it's an instant background check. I'd like to think it wouldn't ever make us targets for harassment, but in today's climate, who knows...

hmm...i'd carry anything as a 3rd backup. lol. but i guess 32 acp is the smallest i'd carry as a BUG. 9mm is the smallest I'd feel comfy with if there was any chance someone might shoot back.

Love my XD-9 SC, no mod's but still a pleasure to shoot. It's the only semi-auto pistol I've owned that has been 100% reliable. zero problems for me.

I think they're great snake guns and small enough to take with you on the mower...sure an LCP or a P32 have more rounds, but try hitting a rattler with them without stopping the mower. lol...but as a CCW I pass. wow, this thread has been going for a while, huh?
