I pocket carry 100% of the time. S&W J Frame, Kahr PM9 and I even carry a Ruger SR9C in my pocket occassionally. People don't notice. If they do, they don't say anything. If someone ever did say anything, I would look at them funny and ask why they were checking out my junk.

I have to admit. I want it all. I want a pretty gun that is a good shooter. If it wears and it is no longer pretty, I can get another.

If it has a titanium cylinder, you have to be careful not to scratch or rub off any of the protective coating. Once the coating is gone, the titanium will burn and pit when it gets hot (near forcing cone).

I'm thinking of storing my ammo in my gun safe. It is rated fire resistant for 30 minutes up to 1400° F. It says the maximum interior temperature in the safe during testing was 350° F. At what temp would ammo explode or "go off"?

I vote TCP. The trigger and sights are better than my LCP. It locks back after the last round too.

When I first started pocket carrying, I was concerned about printing and I was paranoid that "everyone knows". After a while I relaxed and realized that nobody notices. If I sit down in an open area I usually put my hand on my lap to cover my gun. It prints real bad when I'm sitting down.

PF9's usually do well if you keep them cleaned and lubed.

I don't know if it has been brought up, but just because Hornaday has stated that their critical defense round is not designed to shoot through glass or walls does not immediately mean that all other self defense rounds are. Maybe others will fail also?

IMO grip height is most critical. Width will just make a bigger bulge. Height as the potential of causing the butt to be exposed. A grip that is too long (tall) can prevent or delay you from presenting your weapon and that could be deadly at the wrong time.

I only ask out of ignorance. Why did this take a year?

I have been told that using the slide release can cause wear (since it is metal on metal) to a point where the slide stop may stop working. If you pull back on the slide after inserting a full mag, the slide stop will move down and out of the way so when you let go there will be no metal wear.
