    Changing stance Weaver to Isosceles

Ha, that's what started it all. It's all a good time regardless I'll figure it out. These suggestions are helpful thanks folks.

    Changing stance Weaver to Isosceles

I shot today and was keeping my head straight up and natural facing foreword. The elbows were not locked and I was shooting all over the place. A friend stopped by and showed me to roll and lock my elbows and that forced me to bring my head hunched down to see the sight. I shot very accurate but...

    Changing stance Weaver to Isosceles

Yes target is my only interest I just like to learn new things just because. That's an interesting fact about the default stance. That will be a pretty neat subject to read about. Thanks

    Changing stance Weaver to Isosceles

The center target paper is me trying the Isosceles stance using a GP100 double action and at this point I'm really bad at it. The top target paper is the same gun and bullet with me using the Weaver stance which is the only stance I ever used. I don't have to change but I thought to try it. Do...

    Power Pistol, Lead, 357 mag = ?

Is the 158 SWC working out okay ? From what I read above PP and target speeds can be pretty dirty just like Unique because of the lack of pressure. I have a hand full made for the range after work today.

    Power Pistol, Lead, 357 mag = ?

I load 6.6 unique under a .358 158 LSWC 18b. The bullet seems to bump out well and seal the barrel. I wouldn't think that is too light as to burn dirty. It's my most accurate load. Sounds like the PP is going to do the same ?

    Power Pistol, Lead, 357 mag = ?

Because of my love hate relation with Uniquelol... I thought about testing the waters with Power Pistol. GP100 6" 158gr LSWC hard 18b Do you have any words or opinions to voice about this ensemble ? I would like to know if others that are satisfied with PP and lead.

    Should I start casting?

    Darn good point.

    Should I start casting?

Another thing to look at is the tolerance you have for redundant processes. If you're one to get tweaked easily because the end goal is not closing in fast then maybe you wouldn't want to put yourself into it. I think one has to enjoy the process also to make it worth while. Myself I shoot so I...

Do glasses effect iron site shooting.

I did not think this topic would have this much usefulness. There's a lot to think about. I'm working on changing my stance to face forward instead of the old weaver method. I'm guessing that will play a factor if I get a fixed focal length for shooting only. Yep getting old is a pooper in some...

Do glasses effect iron site shooting.

I find myself needing glasses for up close and far. Old... Lol. Has anyone shot iron sight revolver before and after glasses? How did it change or did it change the way you shoot.

    Awesome, thanks.

    Hornady Lock-N-Load bushings

I have the Hornady LNL AP progressive press and it uses the bushings for the dies. I want to get a Hornady LNL single press that accepts the same bushings. Do you know if the die to shell holder distance is the same or will you have to readjust the die depth when switching dies between presses...

    Unique Powder, your measuring techniques

Oh, I know this. I was just looking for others techniques in hopes of finding something new which i did. I find some of these methods worth a shot and will try them. Sure I can move one with another load but for now I have no 231, hp38, or my favorite true blue for 38S&W but I do have 16 lbs of...

Two bullets same load one keyholes??

For that much lead I would wrap some O'Cedar brand copper kitchen scrubbing mesh around a bore brush and give a bunch of swipes. I say the brand name because others are not real copper.

    case prep

I shoot to reload so I find case prep a very satisfying past time. You should see a 357 case perfectly done up, trimmed, chamfered, flash hole de-burred, polished and ready for an evening out. Also I think clean inside and out saves the dies but some may disagree.

    Unique Powder, your measuring techniques

Love the powder hate the measurability. Since my favorite revolver powders such such as 231 , clays and true blue are getting hard to find and I have plenty of Unique I figured I would use it in my favorite calibers, 38S&W, 38Spl and .357mag. (all lead). I always loaded .357mag with Unique using...

    Squeaky gunleather

If you see two pieces of polished leather riveted together that may be the squeak. If so you will have to lube it with mink oil or something like it made for leather.
