Would you consider the Sig P232 a classic gun?

Yes. The same classic good looks of the PP series in a more reliable, up-to-date package.

    H&K ownership poll.

I really like the P7 series. My M8 is the most reliable and accurate handgun I've ever owned. I'm sure the other HK models are very well made but I find them blocky and ugly.

    S&W 442 / 642 No-Lock - Rare?

    Average Shooter: Thanks. Nice work.

    S&W 442 / 642 No-Lock - Rare?

A bit off topic but does S&W offer other no-lock models?

    Best refinish for slide?

I've tried a variety of finishes including titanium, Black-T, NP3 and hard chrome. I found NP3 so slick that it was difficult to hold onto and to rack the slide. I have been most pleased with hard chrome by Metaloy in Berryville, AR. It is not quite as rust resistant as NP3 but more wear and...

    KAHR Reliability?

Capt. Ct.: I've followed Kahr postings on various bulletin boards for the past several years. Your report is the first KB I've ever read about with a Kahr product. I suspect the "range owner" who reported this to be a frequent event with Kahrs has been picking his own mushrooms. I'd like to...

    Kahr MK9

I have owned a Mk9 Elite. It is a wonderful pistol. Reliable, accurate and built like a tank. I now have the PM9. Can't go wrong with either one.

    Pistol cleaning with ultrasound

I routinely use my ultrasonic for autos. However, since the ultrasonic takes off all the lubrication, you want to make sure you remove all the cleaning solution and thoroughly lube the gun after cleaning. There are lubes you can use in the ultrasonic but greasing the inside of the revolver...

    Sig 232

Yeah. I've had that catch come loose while cleaning. Just hold it in place while working on the gun.

    Sig P232/230 Emergency Action Drills???

Lonestar49: I have had the same experience with failures to feed in my 232after about 125 rounds. However, if I wipe the feedramp after every 100 rounds, no problems at all. As for skunk's general condemnation of the 232, it appears he is basing his criticisms on his experience with one 232.

My little LCP is acting up

Sorry about your LCP. My hunch is that Ruger will return it to 100% functionality in short order. It's a highly reliable pistol.

For "break In" To clean or not to clean?

I agree, the factory should polish the feed ramp. However, using some flitz on a FELT dremel tip is not going to damage the ramp and may improve feeding. There are excellent instructions for doing this at http://elsiepeaforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=838.0

Looking for something smaller than a Glock 19 for EDC

I really like my Kahr PM9. I also like my Kahr K9 but it's considerably heavier.

    P7M8 owners I have a question.

I've always sent my slide to Trijicon. I've been pleased with their sights. They have proven to be bright and durable.

    KAHR Reliability?

I've had several Kahrs. My K9's, K40 Covert, Mk9, and PM9 have been very reliable. Sold my P380. Unreliable even after two trips to Kahr and 1400 rounds.

    Walther PPK carry condition?

I have read of safety concerns with the Walther decockers. You might want to do a search on this topic.

    950 Jetfire .25, and .25 in general

It's a neat little gun. The one I had was fun to shoot and quite reliable. Granted, it's underpowered. The .25 is probably more reliable in an auto than 22 LR even though it has less oomph.

    Kahr PM9 SD Ammo

I carry STD pressure Federal 9bp hollow points. Super reliable, the most accurate in my PM9, and reasonably priced.

    .380 carry piece

By the way, Ruger's cutomer service has an excellent reputation.
