    Lee Collet Die issue?

Check to see if the Collet fingers open up sufficiently to allow the neck to slide in. It seems the fingers start squeezing while the case is still moving up inside the collet.

Single stage press with multiple stations

"Only interested in the quality, strength, and precision of this particular press." I have one. The base, shellholder plate and die plate (all black parts) are cast aluminium, not cast iron. There are bronze bushings in the die plate where it rides the two pillars. The linkage etc is steel...

Redding Competition Seater Die (.45 Colt) and Competition 10X powder measure.

1858: I was comparing the Redding RIFLE competition seating die with its sliding chamber. All Hornady seating dies, both rifle and pistol, have a similar sliding chamber. The Redding pistol comp. seating die has no sliding chamber, like you said. I am sure Redding makes some fine equipment...

Redding Competition Seater Die (.45 Colt) and Competition 10X powder measure.

Yeah, this Redding die is a "bunch of crap"! Funny, the Hornady seating die looks almost like the Redding Rifle Competition Seating die. And this is quite a different design, both have a sliding chamber for case + bullet. This makes the bullet align true on the case mouth as the chamber moves...

Redding Competition Seater Die (.45 Colt) and Competition 10X powder measure.

I once owned a 9mm Competition Seating Die. What a joke! The spring loaded seating plunger makes sure the bullet stays crooked during seating! The bullet has no chance to align itself. It's a bit like "the emperor's new clothes" - say Redding and everybody raises it to the skies. Sold the...

    RCBS vs Lee shell holders

Try RCBS new universal hand priming tool. It doesn't use shellholders at all. Instead it has two jaws that will fit anything from .32ACP to 45-70.

Help finding .38 Special Carbide Dies for Hornady AP press

I've never heard of a failing titanium nitride Hornady die. I have them in 9mm and .38/357 without any problems. IMHO you can safely buy them, no worry! They wouldn't have kept them so long if they didn't work. And their seating dies with the sliding sleeve is very good at aligning the bullet...
