Ruger Mini 14. On the fence. (sorry, couldn't resist)
I'd like to have a Mini Thirty one day, but they are a little pricey for me right now.
I do enjoy my old Mini 14 though.
I've got a first gen M&P Compact and a Gen 2 M&P full size with the 5 " barrel.
They are both a joy to shoot, but I like the looks of the Gen 1, but the grip on the Gen 2 is almost perfect for my hands.
I lusted after the 5" for a couple years before Bud's had them on sale shortly for a very...
I think I'll keep my other P320 stock for now.
It's the full size with a red dot, so it's a little hard to compare.
I guess I could swap slides and try the straight trigger with the red dot, just to see if I like it or not.
I'm not convinced I'm a red dot kind of guy, but it is getting easier to...
I recently picked up a couple of P320 pistols, and decided to try a straight trigger in one, just to see if it made a difference.
I got the plain straight trigger shoe from Sig and put it in the one without the red dot.
I will say I like the look and the feel, but it doesn't seem to make much...
If I had to carry one of the OP choices, I would choose the G3c.
I've got a couple G2c and 1 G3c, and I can't find anything wrong with them.
They are comfortable in my hand, accurate enough, easy to conceal and are light.
FYI, the G3c and G2c will fit in Springfield XD holsters.
I bought my P-09 used a few years ago, and it's a smooth shooter.
My trigger gauge says DA = 6llbs 4oz and SA is 1 lb 14oz.
Like I said, it's smooth, and I don't know if there's been work done to it or if it's just naturally that way.
Can't go wrong with any of the CZ family.
I've got a Kimber Custom II, but I've only had it about a month.
So far it shoots well, handles nice, but the springs seem pretty stout to me.
I really like the looks of the Springfield, so I'd probably go with that.
I'm ashamed to admit I don't clean my guns after every use.
My excuse is that I usually go outside to my little range, put a couple mags into a paper plate and head off to do other more pressing tasks.
If I have someone there for a "range day" and I shoot quite a bit, I'll field strip it, clean...
I can't carry heavy steel guns anymore.
Has nothing to do with being old and sore, but if I try to carry something heavy, I can't keep my pants up.
Somewhere along the way, my butt moved into my belly and instead of holding my pants up, they get pushed down.
I know I could tighten my belt until...
I've got 3 Chinese SKSs bought over the years, and my last one was sold to me as a type M.
I'm not sure that's right, but honestly, I don't know the difference between all the different "Types"
$400 out the door with 2 mags, maybe 5 years ago.
I looked at the Rose Sig a few weeks back.
Lena herself was at the local gun place answering questions and promoting her gun.
I visited with her for about 20 minutes and came pretty close to buying one, but decided against spending the money
I have the Kimber micro 9 Bel Air, and I definitely have an opinion about it.
It's like holding a wet bar of soap.
I don't like the slide serrations, they are slick and hard to get a grip on. Not impossible, just not as good as they should be.
I have the STG version, and it's twice the gun the...
Well, I pushed the bullet in almost to the shoulder, 1.11 or thereabouts.
Still no plunk or spin. (In the Shield barrel)
I crimped it until it hurt, and still no plunk and spin.
Dug out my dad's old Llama and tried one that was set to spec.
*PLUNK*
I had 9 rounds ready to go and they all fed and...
I just sold 27 assorted firearms on a local Hibid online auction.
There are a few of those around. When the covid hit, the local auctioneers turned to online auctions.
Works great, the guns usually sell very well and the auctioneer takes 10%
I don't shoot competition and I'm too old to go to war.
I've got guns with good triggers that shoot pretty good despite my lack of skill, some with great triggers that fire if you blow them a kiss, and some that are just OK. Maybe one or two that make you work for it.
My favorite is usually the...
Just to save confusion, this is the bullet in question.
The brass is a wide assortment of this and that.
