    Springfield XD Sub-Compact 9mm

xd-9sc I have a xd-9sc and I like it very much. If you want to stay with .40, you might want to consider the xd-40sc, they are the same size.

Revolver Probably a .357 revolver with a 3-4 inch barrel would be a good starter.

    Glock Gen 4 problems?

Glock Gen4 9mm I actually just traded in my Gen4 Glock 17. It had problems right out of the box, even with good quality ammo. It went back to Glock, came back still screwed up. The letter that came back with it said it met specs. Then, a few weeks later, they came out with the 0-2...

    Gen 3 or Gen 4

I have had nothing but problems with my Gen4 Glock 17. I'd recommend the Gen3 as it is a proven platform.

.22lr auto or double action revolver

Rimfire For rimfire I would go for a revolver. I shoot target sometimes with guys from the local club and they are always clearing the fail to fires out of their buckmarks while I just zip along with my Hi-Standard .22lr revolver.

    Taurus Buyer Be Warned

M94 I bought a Taurus M94 just to have an extra .22lr revolver for target. What a piece of junk. Sorry I bought it. A company that can't make a reliable .22lr revolver shouldn't be trusted to make anything else.

Results of the .380 Up close and personal...

.380 I spent a number of years scrubbing trauma surgery as an OR Tech, including gunshot wounds. The damage incurred is not only due to caliber or placement, but the number of shots taken. Think about what it would take, in your imagination, to get 5 or 6 rounds out of someones chest or...

    Convert S&W M66 (357) to .40 S&W or 10mm ?

Safe From a simple materials engineering standpoint it would not seem to be safe.

Do You Conceal A Full Size Glock?

Build and clothing It depends on your build and clothing. I don't CC a full size Glock.

My First Experiance With Rossi/Taurus = I Should've Listened To The Haters LOL

Actually, I made the mistake of buying a G17 Gen4. What a POS that thing is.

My First Experiance With Rossi/Taurus = I Should've Listened To The Haters LOL

Bad news I bought a Taurus M94 revolver a year or so ago. What a POS. A company that can't make a .22lr revolver shouldn't be trusted to make anything else. Friends don't let friends buy Taurus:barf:

Anyone out there own a Desert Micro .380 Eagle?

MDE I have had an MDE since last fall. I like it. It took about 100 rds to break in. Very reliable. I like the fact that it has real sights and I can shoot it out to 21 ft with no problem accurately. Cant do that with other little .380s It is heavier than a Ruger LCP.

NAA Guardian owners, I have a question

Not a problem Its not a problem. The round will eject when a new mag is inserted and the slide racked. It functioned very nicely. The slide is fairly tight, though. My wife was not able to rack the slide on it easily and we decided to trade it.

What Auto do you use for Home Defense and why???

xd-9sc Wow, this is an old thread. I have a few that have served the purpose on and off including a couple of .45s. I had purchased a G17 Gen4 as a HD gun for the capacity but it has been unreliable, even after sending in back to Glock. I am sorry I ever bought it. My current one is...

    Best .380

Choices You have alot of good choices, .380s on the market. 1. Size 2. Weight (Polymer vs Metal) 3. DA vs SA 4. Sights vs no sights 5. Price You need to go to a shop and take a look. I have a MicroDesertEagle and a Ruger LCP. Both are excellent.

Why DAO only for Desert Micro Mini in .380?

MDE I have had a MicroDesertEagle for over a year now and really like it. I especially like the fact that it has functional sights. Very accurate at 21 ft.

    .243 versus other.

M77 .243 I had a Ruger M77 .243 for many years. Too light for deer, IMO. Good for varmints. Eventually sold it.

    Mossberg 464 30-30

Mossy 464 30-30 I have one. Good basic lever. 1-2" patterns at 100yds with factory ammo. Don't regret getting it. Wish they made them in other calibers.

    Open carry in Pa

Not here. Just giving my honest opinion. Central PA is not the Philly area. Difference in culture. Just because its legal, doesn't mean its smart. At least not here.

    Open carry in Pa

Legal but not wise. Here in SE PA the only thing open carry will get you is visit from the police. Either that or a Philly gangbanger shooting you in the back and taking your gun. Not advisable.
