This is a working prototype, fun making it. If I do another one I will make some changes in the design. Probably a long cylinder conversion with firing
pin in the hammer. All I had was a lathe and drill press. It shoots high and to
the left so I need sights yet but it functions as I thought...
I am looking for a .44 cal. barrel for a Pietta 1851 Navy percussion pistol. This is for a project I am working on. Any length is ok and bore condition is unimportant.
If you have one let me know. Thanks Charlie
I just purchased a new in the box Centaure 1860 pistol #3408. I do not know

I wasn't looking for this pistol but when you find something unusual that

factory. It is new in the box with brass loading rod. It is a Colt style
pistol. The only reference I can find is that they are sold in Europe. Were...

the 1862's which are Colt. There are one or two Pietta's thrown in the mix.
It was time to dig them out and look at them. Charlie

to showcase some of my pistols. My question is what is the best wood to
use that will not draw moisture and rust the guns on the side they rest on?
Also should I use felt or some other material or will that draw...
I have no connection to these pistols and if I did not already have a
Walker and just sent money for a Rogers and Spencer I would jump
on these guns. I thought somebody would like to know.
