I shoot Federal Walmart 550's in mine with good results. A few FTF's every now and then, but nothing excessive.

I just got my PM9 two weeks ago but it has run flawless with cheap Walmart ammo and Speer Gold Dot 124gr +P JHP. I love this gun!

I have been reading a lot of good things about the Speer Gold Dot's so I may try a couple boxes of them. I am not opposed to trying others if they work for you so keep the suggestions coming and thanks to those that have replied so far!

What hollowpoint or self defense ammo have you found that runs good in your Kahr PM 9/40. I have just finished breaking mine in and am ready to try some SD ammo out. Thanks, Jeff

Just switched from a LCP to a Kahr PM 9. Night and day. The little Kahr is what I've been searching for. It's that good.

For home defense or target shooting, Glock 21 SF. Very happy with mine in all aspects.

I just bought my first Glock, a Glock 21 sf and it runs quite nicely straight from the box. Accuracy is very good and the trigger is acceptable and comparable to my XD's. A little more than $500 but worth the extra few bucks.

I agree they are neat old guns. My dad gave a Savage 24 to my son in .22lr/.410 and i consider it an heirloom of sorts. It's 50 years old and in beautiful shape. It rekindled my interest enough that I just picked up a recent vintage Model 24 in .223/20 gauge from a forum member on another forum...
