Weight is not an issue so I will probably take the HK45. There arent that many Black bears in the area, maybe an occasional one. I'm not scared about getting the HK messed up in any way....it can take it!

Yeah, I will be mostly "car camping" but I just wonder about cailber I guess. Both are utterly reliable and both have night sights.....who knows?

I hear you about the ammo, but are you saying that the HK45 is more of a safe queen or that the HK couldn't take the dirt, mud etc..?

Thanks Deer hunter. Needed to pay off Dr. Bills for the birth of my daughter. I do agree with you about "really" needing more guns. If I had an unlimited supply of cash, of course I would have many more guns that I just "want." But in those calibers, I think its just about all I need for what I do.

Indoor, Can't part with my 65'' screen man. Number one, is there is no resale value and I do think I would be miserable.

Lonestar, I agree about the Rifle and Shotty, but the Germans do make a fine, fine pistol in the new HK45 ;)

CFIX, I understand the need to tell another man to grow a pair if I was single too. The fact remains that I spend WAY WAY more $$ than she does for everything. I do have an addiction for Home theater equipment, Les Paul guitars and other things. I think that it was a fair deal due to those facts.

Seriously fellas, We have kids and at the time, needed the $$ for some other things. Maybe I should have left out the wife part in the OP! lol :D
