cap miss fire
my uberti 58 did the same thing i changed too #11 caps
tightened my main spring seemed to solve 99 % of the problem
i think the nipple is the cause when i get a chance I'm going to replace mine maybe they are not sharp enough.
Also the hammer should were in...
i was using a pellet charge that left a lot of space im going to use regular powder that might fill the cylinder more then maybe i can get by with just a felt wad
Sagetown
i think that was part of the problem
and the hammer has a round mark so i feel it is hitting square
after i tightened the adjustment screw it seems to work better
i was thinking that the #10s didnt go on all the way for some reason
im using cci's not sure if my gun shop has remingtons ill have to ask ccis is what he gave me
new gun but when i go to shoot sometimes the caps wont fire
but they will the second time around is the problem in the nipple or the hammer i tightened the main spring seemed to help
but not 100 percent maybe needs to be tightened some moor?
Thanks
that is what i thought about the powder if i do leave it loaded it wont be for long i like to shoot
and im fortunate i can shoot in my back yard
How about a plain hunting rifle
in the 30-06 caliber that will do nice for you from 100 to 500 yards and i garintee it will keep a three inch groop sight it in 3 inches high at 100 yards
you will hit what you shoot at from 100 to 500
I'm a newbie :

but what about UN burned powder how long can you leave your gun loaded ?
i don't want to damage mine
44 loads
thanks for your help not sure why i used the pelets
the gun shop said that is what most people use
so i bought them i think they cost about 17 dollors
but new to black powder what would i know
