I have a Sig 229 and personally can't stand the 1/3" dead area in the trigger after it goes single action. I much prefer the crisp pull of a standard 45 or a smooth DA only semi.
Why did Sig (or anyone else) find it necessary to engineer in so much trigger slop after the first...
Can any semi be smithed to fit a suppressor such as a standard 1911 type or the Ruger MK 111s?
I already know there are the standard factory types that are machined for an aftermarket suppressor but I'm interested in picking up a 22lr 1911 or Ruger target barrel.
Region is south/southeast and southwest.
Please don't go into, "I don't recommend using .223 for hunting because..." I don't plan, or would consider trying to take large game with the 22(3) caliber.
It is what it is. I've sold off my entire stock and have decided to keep only .22lr and...
Any differences per the post title question?
Can I load (order) either or and load either or?
I was about to order some Colt 5.56 mags then got to thinking about all my regular .223 rounds.
thanks.
Is this normal guys? I can rotate it a 5-10 degrees around the barrel. Doesn't seem to be anything holding it in place. Shouldn't there be some kind of lock nut or something?
...and its gotta be 'adult' sized (basically a 39a in stainless).

I have one and wondering whether to keep it or sell it to help pay for a Marlin 39a (if I can find one).
Only fired at 15 yards in an indoor range (once).
So I (was) placing an order for 3 separate items:
1. Magpul stock
2. Magpul magazine (2)
3. 6K rounds of 22lr
and the shipping is close to $60 from 3 seperate warehouses each charging a separate shipping rate??!!!
HUH?!
forget it!
I'm looking at the red dot and it appears to be a miniature Rorschach test. There are a number of irregular shaped 'flecks' with one larger 'fleck' being brighter than the rest. The shape in total is definetly not a solid 'dot' when viewed indoors under low light conditions and wearing glasses...
Sig subcompact holsters will be out in November this year.
Also put in a request for a magazine finger extension. The rep promised he'd pass up the request to management
Found this on Yahoo regarding what makes a round match and thus so much more accurate that standard or military grade.
I am ignorant on the subject and suspect many more here are as well.
Can any of you seasoned firearm vets confirm the following?

I've read all the internet posts on what companys stake, which ones are lousy at it, and which ones don't even bother.
My question is why stake? If its so important to mechanically gouge the metal after the key is inserted then why not just make a hex screw that doesn't back out in the first...
