What is the Smallest, Lightest Defensive Pistol You WOuld Rely On ?

I carry 100% of the time unless I am in a prohibited area. My gun of choice depends upon what I am doing that day, the weather, and clothing I’m wearing. I carry either a LCP2, G42, Solo, PM9, G43, PPS M2, P365, Nano, XDS, J frame 38, or Shield.

Took my new Sig P365 to the range for the first time

put approximately 170 rounds through the gun. Shot a combination of Blazer Brass, Remington Golden Saber, and Federal HST rounds. The gun functioned flawlessly and was very accurate. The recoil on the 365 was a bit stronger than that of my G43, which I also took and shot ~50 rounds. I will...

I have a number of small pistols that I pocket carry. My favorite is the G42. The others that work well for me are the Kimber Solo, Kahr PM9, and Beretta Nano. I have a G43, Shield, PPS, G26 but I find each a bit large to pocket carry.

    Px4 Storm: Good? Bad?

I own three 9mm PX4 pistols, full size, compact, and subcompact I currently use the full size as my night stand gun. My favorite of the three is the compact. The compact fits my hand perfectly. No problems with any of the guns. The are reliable and accurate, soft shooters, and easy to maintain.

Glock 42 slide locks back prematurely - Again

Call Glock customer service. They will take care of you. I bought a G42 as soon as they were released. The gun simply would not feed or eject properly with many different types of ammo. So, back to Glock she went. Glock replaced almost all of the internal parts, but the gun still would not...

    Recommend a .380acp

G42, decent trigger out of box, can be improved with 3.5# connector, reliable, soft shooting, and Glock customer service is great. I pocket carry my G42 every day in a DeSantis Nemisis holster.

    Glock 43 Pocket Holsters

One other pocket carry holster option for the G42 or G43 is Remora. If you don't like the Remora as pocket holster you can carry IWB. I was skeptical of the no clip idea, but the Remora stays put as advertised.

    Beretta PX4 Storm Subcompact

I have owned a PX4sc since their introduction, and have experienced no problems whatsoever. Mine is accurate, easy to shoot, and maintain. I did put Trijicon night sights on mine. The only thing I would change is the thickness of the gun, but the capacity is nice. The full size mags also fit...

    Recommended .380 bullet for defence?

Kokapelli--The Corbon round is a bit of a hotter round than some of the others tested, but to say Corbon failed is, in my opinion, an exaggeration. The bullet "failed" by over penetrating the standard of 12 inches penetration established for the ballistic gel/denim test, but the bullets...

    Glock 42 problems

I bought the first G42 my LGS received. I experienced lots of FTF and FTE with the pistol using multiple types of premium and range ammo. I sent the gun back to Glock and they replaced almost all of the internal parts. This, however, did not remedy the problems I experienced. So, I sent the...
