I too had one for years and had given up putting an edge on it. But I got a lanski shrpening rig and, after a little elbow grease was shaving my arm with it.
I was given a United Cuttlery blade as a late Christmas gift. Its made in (of course) China, and seems to be a good, but not great, knife. I've seen on line that United bakes a lot of novelty blades, and wanted to see if anyone knows about the company.
I'm a bit of a knife snob, and I do collect, but I have a few junk blades that i've been given or picked up at flea markets, yard sales and such. I just like to know what I have. Sometime even junk has interesting history behind it. Besides, they are expedable.
I swear by Gerbers when I want a quality knife, and I have a few Ontario Knife company knives, and a couple of Cold Steel too. But I picked up a couple of cheap-o chinese folding lockblades at a flea market for 5$ each.
I know they're junk, and I bought them for all the tasks around the house...
