    Fortifying your house

Fortification I have a certain amount of paranoia. Unemployment and drugs are bad here. Trying to predict a breakin is impossible. It will happen in a second. Why not buy yourself a few more seconds.

    Fortifying your house

My house A little background on my house. My house is an older house. It is brick. I had a 18 gauge metal roof installed not for security but longevity. The windows are the roll out kind. The windows have a crank that opens them, kinda of like an old mobile home. The house has trees on all...

    Fortifying your house

I wanted to put this thread under home invasion. It seems that thread got out of hand and was closed. I am not Rambo. I can breath, walk and have a brain. The other day I was thinking about the weak points in my house. My front door is strong. I doubt if it could hold up against a 400 pound...

    Holding a flashlight correctly

light I have often wondered about tactical lights. It always seemed to me that the bad guy would probably see you first. In a dark situation, I could see how the FBI carry would help. If the light was bright enough, it would probably semi-blind the bad guy. If he shot at you, he would probably...

    Mauser 98

I got one when I was 14. I am 55 now. I have kept it clean and lubricated all these years. I wouldn't sell it for anything. It still works like a brand new one. It has the original steel butt plate. That don't help when you shoot it. It kicks like a pissed off horse. It sounds like a cannon...

    Handgun Ammo Shortage?

I live in a small town in Northwest Georgia. I started noticing low supplies of ammo a few months ago. Walmart and a couple of pawn shops here are the main choices. Walmart has gone from low to out most of the time. The pawn shop that I use is mostly low, not out. A year ago there was a surplus.

How many have gotten their cc permit since the election?

CCW So far its a state thing. In Georgia, there is no class that has to be taken. You just walk in and start the application process. No appointment needed. Here, you really get checked out. When they get done, they know everything about you. A judge has the final say so. An open carry and...
