I don't mind two sizes other than sorting. If you run out of large primers you can use small brass or visa versa.

I know this is the Auto Forum but, I'm with Willie on this one, 8 shots, accurate, no jams, any ammo will do.

I got lucky a couple years ago and found this pre-lock 317 8 shot for $400. It's not easy or fun to shoot but, pockets well. This M-63 is my favorite, never go to the range without it. The trigger is not like an M-27 but, is waaayy better than the 317. I put on the 60 pro grips on Stainz...

Those S&W Grips look good to me and they seem like exactly what you are looking for. I might have to get a set for mine. Mine is mid-seventies vintage with 80's grips.

Chill Craig, I'm not doubting your ability I said I load my DA faster than my SA. If you load a SA faster good for you. I enjoy my 45 colt SA but, Find loading a SA 22 tedious.

Unloading = no contest I have no problem loading 2 at a time in my DA, I can easily load 8 faster than 6 in a SA.

I'd believe oneounceload since he also lives in FL. Around here new ones go for $369 average, if you can find one. S&W sells all they can make.

My 4 inch shoots fine, I doubt 1/2 inch will make any difference shooting. That's a nice piece, it looks better with the shorter barrel.
