    Kahr 9...which model?

K9 I have the K9 with night sights. There is just enough weight to soak-up recoil without being too much for belt carry. It's really a great little pistol.

    Pocket Carry snubbie...suggestions?

smith and wesson 342-1 pd I carry the 342-1 pd. It's the ultra, light-weight revo chambered in .38 special +P. Since I was happy with carrying .38 special, I passed on the more expensive 340pd. I saved $$ over the 340. It's easy to carry in front pocket of trousers or cargo pocket (as...

I'm really happy with my k-9. It's a good, quality piece. You got good suggestions all around. Maybe the Springfield XD is worth considering too. Good luck with your decision.

    Suggestions: 9mm pocket carry?

For me, pocket carry is a last resort. Even in warmer weather I can easily hide a pistol strong-side, inside the pants. Actually, I have found that a good holster with the proper cant has more to do with comfortable carry than anything else (within reason). For summer I carry a Kahr k-9, which...

    Glock or Kimber?

That's a tough one I had an ultra carry and traded it. FTF, FTE that I couldn't get resolved. It could have been me and it could have been the pistol. Regardless, I have some doubt about reliability of the really short 1911. But the UC is such a nice pistol, Bushingless bull barrel, really...

Don Hume JIT slide and Mitch Rosen Workman

stiff gunbelt Do you use a good stiff belt It's the same belt that I use for other belt holsters. But it a good point. Maybe just the right excuse to spring for some better quality leather.

Don Hume JIT slide and Mitch Rosen Workman

I only use the JIT while at the range I have a JIT for a Kahr K-9. It's perfect for the range. I stopped using it for concealment because the grip of the pistol pulls away from the body and even bounces a little when I walk. It's a dead give-away. Your experience may be different.

    help me select my pistol

I do live in Erie Mike, I have covered every carry scenerio so far by carring my Kahr k-9 and/or Smith and Wesson (ultra) lightweight revolver 342-1pd. The Kahr is a thin pistol and very easy to hide. The ultra light smith-wesson revolvers are very easy to carry, not as much fun to shoot...

    New Gun Blogger....

good to see a gun blog but I don't think it's excellent I disagree with this blog. I respect the individuals opinion but disagree that it is a good idea to carry a 1911-pattern pistol with the hammer down on a live round. If this is something that you are considering please visit...

    New CCW holder, need advice.

Welcome to the Fourm. You'll find a wealth of information here and much good advice. I agree the 9mm is a good round - it's inexpensive and of sufficient caliber. Again, as someone wrote earlier you can someday buy a larger caliber pistol if you want to. It's much better that you can aford...

    Sig Trailside?

I've had a trailside (4" Standard Model) for several months. I mounted a red-dot and once zero-ed it's been very, very accurate. The reason that I bought the pistol was to shoot silhoutte at the local club. Lot's a fun. Initially, there was a small flat-spring that broke but my local...

    342PD on the way!

I also bought a 342 I agree with Bob79, the 342 was the way to go for me. I just bought it last week and had an offer already - but it's a keeper. I am not sure which products are okay to use when cleaning. What are you using to clean your Ti/Sc parts?

    Storing Firearms

I've seen them hiden in the furniture at a hunting camp. Carefully remove the fabric from the back of the sofa, place the guns inside and put the fabric back in place. Once the sofa in back against the wall you cannot tell there is anythng inside - even when you sit on it. My friends dad...
