Lee Pro Auto Disk Powder Measure Driving Me Nuts

The Dillon uses an adjustable "bar", and it can vary a little..the Lee is a perfectly round hole, that seems to be more accurate...once you dial in a size, you get the same exact charge...every time...I have adjusted the Lee unit to my dillon..works better in the 9mm, because I'm only using 3.2...

    9mm crimping curiosities

9mm Crimp. Everyone here seems to be correct, But here is a fool proof way to crimp...Set your die to loosely "grab" the bullet...Take the loaded round, and push the bullet head into your reloading bench, if it gets pushed into the case, then you have the chance of it pushing back when it is...

    Clays Frustration

I also love the Trailboss for 45acp...super accurate...clean...soft...What more could you want?...works with 185gr and 230gr very well....very fluffy, hard to meter, BUT...it's so fluffy, that .3 grains off means nothing..It just about fills the case anyway..

    Anybody Tried Trail Boss Powder?

Great powder for 45acp...I am surprised there isn't more data out there..I use it in both 185gr and 230gr ball....soft, yeah...real soft...love the stuff.

    Advanced .45 ACP Loading Question

7.5gr of AA#5 is the "Match" load that Federal Match uses in their 45acp 185gr loads....super accurate...I'm not a big fan of AA#5, but I do load some from time to time..do a search, and you'll find several guys using this in Bulseye matches.

    IMR Trailboss

I use Trailboss in the 45acp and it is super clean...and impossible to over fill the case, it's super fluffy..It's 14 bucks for 9oz...and its 18.99 for 16oz of Clays..about the same...The ammonia smell you get is from your primer, not the powder..it burns that clean!!...anybody looking for 45acp...

Trailboss in a 9mm anybody tried it?

I use Trailboss for my .45acp loads, and I love it!!...However, I don't think it's a good idea for 9mm...I did alot of research, and I cannot find ANY load data for TB in the 9mm...just the wrong application...I will second the use of VV N320...Huge IDPA load where I am..a little expensive, but...

Lee Pro Auto Disk Powder Measure Driving Me Nuts

The Dillon has an adjustable bar, that goes in and out, the Lee has a choice of discs, that have a perfect round hole, with drill index sizes, so, once you find the hole that has your powder charge, it is always perfect..My dillon will sometimes vary within about .3 grains...when you are trying...

    Lee sales

I have found that most of the LEE products are cheaper on Midway or Natchez...I got rid of the Lee Loadmaster, so I don't need to anymore, I now have a Dillon 650...But I did keep the Pro Powder Drop, and put it on my Dillon..It really measures perfect loads...other than that, I don't much care...

Lee Pro Auto Disk Powder Measure Driving Me Nuts

I have a Dillon 650, my first press was a Lee Loadmaster....I like the accuracy of the Lee powder measure so much, that I have put it on my Dillon...You may have to find the right disc, but once you do...it is ALWAYS the same load..

    Cleanest Burning .45 ACP Powder

I can't see anything burning cleaner than Clays...If you guys have used Clays AND Titegroup AND Wst, can someone give me a comparison?...It seems that most of the guys post on the powder that they use, but they have not tried other powders..Anybody have experience with all of them?

    Opinions on Best 45ACP Powder

I only shoot FMJ, lead is way too dirty...after 500 rds of FMJ, there is no need to even wipe the gun down..I just cannot believe the softness of Trailboss, but without the soft "pushy" feel of Clays...I have used TG in my 9mm, and it is snappier than most of my loads with VV320, and U.Clays.

    45ACP Trailboss

My data shows about 780 FPS, which is about 100fps slower than factory loads, but it feels lighter than even the lightest load I've ever made with Clays...I did I side by side comparison with Trailboss and Clays, with what I believe to be the same FPS, but the Trailboss puts the plates down...

    Cleanest Burning .45 ACP Powder

I have tried AA#5, as it is supposed to be the exact match to Federal Gold match, and I have loaded it to the same exact specs, but it still burns incomplete...no where near as good as Clays or Trailboss.

    Cleanest Burning .45 ACP Powder

I've heard alot about WST...Can you use it in 9mm as well?...I find that most of the great powders for .45acp don't work well in 9mm...I use N320 for 9mm. as it is the powder of choice for EVERY guy that shoots IDPA with me, but it is very "pushy" in the .45

    Cleanest Burning .45 ACP Powder

Hey Guys, new here, but I've been reloading awhile...I shoot plates, and target mostly, and I will agree with 95% of the crowd that NOTHING shoots softer than clays...until NOW...I have been playing with Trail Boss, and it is a plate shooters dream...if you think Clays is soft, you gotta try...
