Here is a study. It includes gun laws, calling 'the best gun laws' as 'least restrictive' (that is in Alaska), Liberal states are called nanny states. Conservative states are called as more tolerant. I think if such studies are made popular it would spark interesting debates on gun control...

To own a firearm, you need to get an AFL first in WA. Without one you could get arrested for class C felony. (Check the Legal section - Alien Firearm Licenses thread)

You might get it faster than some of us, I applied Jan 29 and I am still waiting. I believe some one here got theirs after a week, so you never know.

I emailed the attorney, hopefully he is able to help out. I called DOL as well - after 40 days they don't have the background check and aren't planing to issue me the license.

That's a good idea, I hope everyone affected does that. I am planing on calling the NRA and lawyers involved. I have been waiting total of 2 years and 9 months for this license :( I will keep you posted.

I also asked them about the 30 day rule and they told me that they can't issue without a background check, now in the injunction it says otherwise but....what can we do. They also said the 30 day rule is for the background check to be complete, doesn't include the time it takes then to send in...
