The FFL I use was the guy who told me about Hipoints. Personally I wouldn't buy one because I can afford better. His point was he transferred a lot of them and while they may be ugly they work and if they don't they have a life time guarantee.

I''ve been looking at doing the same thing and have not found what I would consider bargains. I picked up a couple of lowers and have been looking for the parts to complete. So far what I have found to be most cost effective is the rifle parts kit from Delton at about $465, just add a lower and...
I just picked up a CZ-82 in 9mm Makarov from CDNN for $189 and ordered Brown Bear ammo from ammunition to go for $9.65 a 50 round box. Shipping for the ammo was pretty reasonable, with a 10 box order it added about $1 a box.
I took it to the range for the first time tonight and it did ok. I've...
I have the large Midway bag and the only issue I have is the shoulder strap will not stay cinched. Of course that's after I load it up with 3 pistolas and 400 45ACP, 200 44's and a few boxes of .22. The shoulder strap will always go to full extension and that's a few inches ont he long side for...
Coincidentally I saw an ad for these springs and immediately thought I have to get those.
I have a model 37 Airweight made back in the 80's and it has a 12 lb DA trigger pull. Will these springs fit my gun?

I load .44 Special loads in .44 Magnum cases with HP-38 if that's any help. I haven't had any issues. Now I'm going to be loading .38s but I have a .38 revolver not a .357.

I went to the range the other night and shot about 150 rounds with the re-tensioned extractor and did not have a single problem. I also noticed the brass was not being thrown behind me as far.

I have had this very same problem with my RIA 5" GI. After research and looking at the breech face with a brass case (unloaded of course); I determined the extractor had too much tension. I re-tensioned the extractor but have not gone back out to the range for live fire testing.
I do have to...
I've been to Buffalo Rock a few time and the staff has always been courteous. In the last year they have been more alert to the possibility of ricochets, I assume to keep the DNR off their backs.
There just aren't that many ranges in this part of Illinois and nowhere you can shoot except on...
Precision vs. Accuracy
For those who do not understand the difference, it can be described in shooting terms. If you are both precise and accurate then the average value (distance to bullseye) and the amount of variation would both be small. For example if you have a .25" group and it is all...
Not only does the glorious Peoples Republic of Illinois require both seller and buyer have FOID cards, both must keep records for 10 years and the 24 hour long gun and 72 hour pistol waiting periods must be observed.
