It's been said in this thread by worth repeating. My great-grandfather had but one firearm, a hardware store single-shot shotgun. He moved from farming near Oppelo Arkansas to Washington County, Oklahoma in the 1920. The gun moved with him and the wife and the kids. It was all he needed as...
I agree with all of this, except you could scope the SKS and not get a 30-30 if you really like the surplus rifle.
Also, decide between the .22 rifles you like best. I honestly see the need for only one, but really pick the one you prefer. Many really like .22 pistols, but I like centerfire...
My father had a LCR in 38 and it kicks pretty darn hard with +p. It's worse than 357 in my 3" steel Rossi.
I bet the 357 in that light of a pistol is ferocious. But, I wouldn't shy away from it because of that :) the gun is well made and carries well, and I prefer the trigger to a j frame...
The lawyers are simply transactors of the law. In Oklahoma at least, jury trials award civil settlements. Seems to me that the will of the people is at work here.
I believe the expression goes, ahem, "Don't hate the player, hate the game."
I believe KS is like OK, where nothing is required.
Cash and a handshake, and I call it good. I ask if they are an OK resident (KS, in your instance), and legal to buy. A yes suffices for me. Bill of Sale? Pffft...
I am 30 now. I've got a a modest collection (a 1911, a revolver, a pocket .380, a couple shotguns, and a .22 rifle). I am a pretty minimalist person so I don't keep stuff around if I decide it's redundant.
Considering she was a police spokesperson, and they do not "charge" people in these cases, she cannot definitively say one way or the other. In all venues I know of, the investigating agency turns over the information to the DA to decide if there is basis for charges or not. So her comments...
Unless a decrease in mass accommodates the increase in velocity. Not being contrary, but just pointing out that there are a lot of variables at play here. If the velocity is increased, ceteris paribus, then the recoil will increase. Theoretically of course, as I am not sure how well I may be...
+1 on this. Also, Oklahoma State Institute of Technology in Okmulgee has a Watchmaking and Microtechnology associate's degree that can be applied to firearms gunsmithing. A notable alumnus of that program is one Bill Wilson.
The slide reminds me of the British 1911 variants from WWI, but those lacked the Model of 1911 US ARMY wording, I believe. And I don't know enough about .455 Webley to know if the slide would fit to a .45 barrel and frame.
Well, yes and no. They are all made by HS in Croatia, true enough. But the HS-branded pistol was the HS2000, which AFAIK only sold as a 9mm. I believe all other calibers (40, 45, 45 GAP, 357) wee only sold under the XD moniker.
So I am wanting to clarify if the pistol listed here as an HS...
I will agree to disagree, certainly.
Let me clarify that I personally don't engage in such behavior, I just have bit more "laissez faire" towards those who do. Oddly it just doesn't particularly bother me.
"it just makes me angry to think of someone getting turned off to houses because they were taken advantage of by a member of the real estate community."
"it just makes me angry to think of someone getting turned off to cars because they were taken advantage of by a member of the hot rod...
I have nothing against the TSA agents as people, as they have always been very polite and professional, and dare I say efficient, in my travels the last couple years.
But let's get real. They are not about keeping us safe. They are about making us feel safe. Huge difference. The massive...
I think we need to be careful with claiming that a seller is "ripping some on off."
If they are misrepresenting the product (i.e. claiming custom work that was never done, actively concealing damage or abuse/misuse, or outright selling forgeries) then they are "ripping some one off."
If they...
