Best pick???? Camp 9 or .44 mag?

Does anybody know what year Marlin started putting the white spacer in the butt plate and the cap and spacer on the grip on the 39-A??? I am looking for what should be and not be on a 1950 and a 1961... Type of finish, colors, spacers, sights, anything... Thanks

Well here is another old coot that loves Marlins. I just had a birthbay on the 8th and i will make it in before anniversary..... I have 4 marlins and my first 39-A will be here this week--- I hope. it's a 1961 model. I have also been looking real hard at a very nice 1950 too.....
