    Barnes X Bullets

I killed a nice buck last evening using the Barnes X bullet in my 7mm magnum at 240 yards. The buck jumped into the brush. We found him thirty yards from where I initially hit him. Put a nice entrance and exit hole in him. I am using the older style that look like a hollow point. Great bullet...

    Shooting Milk Jugs

I need to how deep my Nosler 64 grain bullets will penetrate at 300 yards. I want to make sure there is enough enegry left in the bullet at that range. A friend told me if the bullet smashed through three milk jugs I would be doing well. Using it on white tails. I know I can hit the vitals, but...

    Nosler Accubond Bullets

Nosler Bullets Thanks, Jake. I looked at the Nosler site. I will most likely use their recommended loading data since none of my reloading books mention the 64 Accubond bullet. Winchester 760 looks like their accuracy powder of choice. I will definitely post pictures of any deer I take with...

    22/250 on Missouri Whitetails

22/250 Thanks for all the input guys. My boys are still telling me I am crazy for wanting to take the 22/250. I told them I trust my flat shooting rifle. One of the boys shot and killed a WVA turkey at 400 yards with this same rifle about ten years ago. It hits what you aim at

    22/250 on Missouri Whitetails

@@/250 I just bought some 64 grain accubonds from a fellow member here. Going to load some when they come in and shoot series of milk jugs at 300 yards to see how many they penetrate. If they do two or more I will feel safe with them

    22/250 on Missouri Whitetails

I currently live in SC I use my 22/250 to hunt whitetails down here. It drops them quick because it is accurate and I know where bullet placement should be. I saw a lot of people using a 22/250 on deer when I lived in PA. We are going to northern Missouri in November to hunt whitetails. My...

    22-250 bullet wt. ?????

Bullet I shoot a 60 grain Nosler Partition bullet from my Remington 788 22/250. Same hole every shat at 100 yards. Longest shot was a bottle off a fence post at 600 yards. It took me 5 shots on a windy day to smash it.

    Are remington percussion caps corrosive?

Remington Caps I always clean with Hoppes #9 after shooting. I take the nipple out and clean it thoroughly as residue will collect inside from the cap after repeated firings
