    AR-15 stocks

When I tried to put an optical scope on my AR, I found that I couldn't get my head low enough to see through the scope even with "extra high" scope rings so I put a scope riser on and it lifted it to where it's comfortable. I had a Tru-glo red dot scope on there for a while and found I didn't...

    Rechamber 1894

I really don't care what the gun is/would be worth either now or if it got re-chambered/bored. It's value to me is that I can shoot it and it came from Grandpa. As far as I know, he never shot it, didn't even know it was shootable until I asked to take it to a gunsmith and have it checked out...

Is firing "novelty" shots through a fixed modified choke ok?

I've put foster slugs through an extra full turkey choke. Inaccurate as all get out, but no damage.

    Rechamber 1894

I got it from my grandpa one year as a Christmas present, so it has sentimental value way more than monetary value, but I'd like to shoot it more. Interesting, I'll have to get a .30-30 shell and try it. Nope, I load it with Varget powder, although it is stamped on the barrel, rather proudly...

    Rechamber 1894

I have an old Winchester '94 that was made in 1898 (according to the serial number data) chambered in .25-35. I know re-chambering it would destroy it's monetary value, but to me it's value is that it's from my grandpa and will never be sold as long as I'm alive. I heard somewhere that the...

    Indiana loaded long guns

Not a hunting license, a carry permit. In Indiana it's called a License to Carry Handgun. I know I can carry a loaded handgun, just wondered about long guns too.

    Indiana loaded long guns

Yup, I'm aware. Which is why I was wondering if I missed anything one way or another.

    Indiana loaded long guns

I've looked through the Indiana code, multiple google searches and searched through here, but I can't seem to find an answer to my question. I have an Indiana handgun license, can I keep a loaded shotgun or rifle in the cab of my truck?

    Winchester 70 model?

Thanks, I figured it was something like that. I can stuff 5 in the mag, but it takes so much effort to get it to feed, it ain't worth it...

    Winchester 70 model?

Few years back I picked up a used model 70 and I'd like to know which particular model it is. Only descriptions on the gun itself are "Winchester Trademark" on the right side of the bolt, "Winchester Model 70 30-06 Sprg, Made in New Haven CT USA" not quite half way down the barrel and the serial...

    Dust cover malfunction.

I'd recommend shooting it more. I had to put about 60 rounds through mine before it would cycle properly. It may just need to break itself in a little.

Winchester 1300 18.5 in barrel for trap

just saying that I've done it with the same length, it's certainly doable.

Winchester 1300 18.5 in barrel for trap

I had a 1300 that I cut down to 18.5 or so. I shot in the high teens, low 20's occasionally. About the same that I do with a 26 inch barrel. This is skeet by the way, never shot trap.

Whats your age group, and what do you carry?

25 and my primary is a full sized 1911. I'll carry a 6" .357 when I can keep it covered and a .22 auto when the 1911's hard to hide.
