    Building a 10/22

Working on one now. Carbon Fiber Barrel, Volquartsen trigger, and just figuring out what kind of stock I want. I finished it when I get back from Northern Virginia in two weeks. Thinking about the AT-1 stock.

    Unwelcome visitor

The last time I saw a rattler in New York? Never. Thanks for the picture. I am sure the wife would very happy to have one of these in the back yard.

Delaware passes permit to purchase (moved from Legal Forum)

In New York it took over 18 months under the old system to get a pistol license. They do this by making it hard to submit. Gotta have fingerprints done within so many days and online scheduling that is well into the future. Its like a country that doesn't want vegetables from another country...

Dillon Square Deal B Rebuild - Great Service

I finally got around to sending my Dillon Square Deal B Back to Mothership. Scheduled to return to me next Wednesday. I'll be out of town; it will still be waiting for me when I get home. It was suggested here to consider sending it back. It was $85 plus shipping. I shipped it out last...

GForce .357 Magnum Lever Action - Who Makes It?

Thanks for the response @CraigC. It was my understanding that hot loads in a 1892 can cause the receiver issues. In the absence of that. The locking lugs ride in the receiver. The receivers have always been steel. My point was how will aluminum react to the pressure over time. Its not like...

    I’ve got 99 cases…

They don't make boxes that hold only 99. Its OK to have only 99 in the box. Everything is just fine. The empty spot isn't hurting anyone.

    Ruger Factory 10/22 Target

Wow, nice. @Spats McGee got me working on mine too. Ordered a trigger group, carbon fiber barrel, and now looking at stocks. Took the Rifle apart, polished the receiver, and cleaned everything. Parts due in tomorrow. Nice pickup @Riomouse911. I really like the stock.

Gunsmith recommendations in central or eastern NY, western MA

https://www.cnygunworks.com/services/ Right off the thruway exit for Verona. Never had pistol work done. They did an action job for a 1892, a barrel install with rail for a Roller to include barrel threading, trigger kit install on a CZ75, and a newer barrel on my Krag. No complaints.

GForce .357 Magnum Lever Action - Who Makes It?

The aluminum receiver bothers me. The locking lugs ride in the receiver on an 1892. 1892’s with high power loads even in a steel receiver cause issues.

    I dropped my press..

Sorry about your floor. The press is built like a tank. Not one of the old Soviet tanks where the top blows off, one of the good American ones. Kidding aside, they are one tough press. Just check is over carefully.

Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

    S&W 686 Plus vs. Colt Python 2020--Prices

It’s a tale as old as time, the 686 versus Python. It’s up to the buyer to determine value. Got a 686, would trade up in a heartbeat with $500 to give up willingly.
