    Advice about gunpowder abbreviations

Thanks for the advice Jim and AR, The only reason why I went online, is because the 5 manuals I have here don't have the 135 grain hollow point in them... even the Nosler, and they are Nosler 135's. Also, the Speer .38 Special 148gr. HBWC is likewise in neither of them... I also was looking for...

    Wad Cutter Lube?

Is it necessary to lubricate wad cutters? I just loaded a bunch of 38 specials, and when I was shopping for more components, I noticed bullet lube for use in black powder and smokeless loads. I need wisdom from a higher source.

    .40 S&W 135 gr. Nosler JHP

I'm loading .40 S&W, 135 gr. Nosler JHP... is it possible to use a magnum small pistol primer in lieu of the standard small pistol? If so, how much of a powder reduction should I apply to the load? I'm currently loading AA-7 @ 10.9 grains.

    Advice about gunpowder abbreviations

Is AAC-7 Accurate Arms #7? I've never seen it abbreviated in such a manner, and I really want to get cracking on these .40 S&Ws.

May I assume that the abbreviation is Accurate Arms #7? I don't care to assume anything when I'm loading bullets, and...

    Reloading Stands

Thanks for the tip... I was going to make a loading leaf for my kitchen table (obviously I'm once again a bachelor), but I realized that the RCBS would be mounted opposite of the Dillon, and I'd have nowhere to put the trimmer, powder measure, etc... but they are all mounted on 10" pieces of 2X4...

    Cleaning my brass

I've always found that the walnut media leaves a fine film on the brass, so only use it on the filthy stuff... the corn cob media will make them shine after a few hours. I use Dillon rapid polish, but what jc and the rest of the sunshine gang have recommended sounds like they are more...

Have you ever made a dud?

Have you been checking the flash holes after cleaning your brass? A little grain of corn cob can be easy to miss when you are anxious to seat primers.

    Reloading Stands

I saw a Frankford Arsenal stand that claimed it would handle the RL550, but my 650 has the casefeed and thought that it would be unstable on such a small stand.

    Reloading Stands

Does anyone know if a Dillon XL650 has a pre-manufactured stand that takes up very little room, yet keeps the press consistent and accurate? I have nowhere to mount my benches in this rental.
