PC, have you had a primer detonation on your machine? What were the conditions when it happened. I am avoiding using any Federals as they are typically to be avoided in progressives. Sad part is I have a whole sleeve and a turret press I don't really reload on anymore.

Some would contest that the plastic parts are plastic so they break before breaking something more substantial on the press. Its better to replace a $2 slider then a whole new ram and carrier. Just food for thought.

There has got to be more to it than user error, my Loadmaster reloads 9mm, .38, and 45acp and have not, after roughly 10,000 reloads crushed a single primer part. I run a Loadmaster in 3 calibers and it works very well. It takes a bit of press knowledge to get setup right, but once its setup it cranks ammo out very quickly.
