I have a Sentry 14 gun safe that has worked pretty well for me. The problem is that it doesn't have a good way to store handguns. Does anyone recommend a hanging door organizer that will hold 4-5 handguns, maybe some magazines, accessories, etc?
The problem is the fit, since it's not a real...
Is there any need to lower the powder charge at all? I have a somewhat light .357 mag load that I use for general target shooting. I can't imagine there is much of a pressure increase with these primers. Especially if some of you are saying they are basically interchangeable with small magnum...
I have about 500 Winchester WSR Small Rifle Primers that I don't plan on using anymore for rifle loads. Does any one have an opinion on using them for hand gun loads to replace small pistol primers? I load 38 spc and .357 mag and occasionally 9 mm if the mood strikes me.
I hate to waste...
Every once in a while, I take my 22/45 apart just so I don't forget how to re-assemble it. When it was new, I needed a mallet to remove the barrel from the frame. How it pops off by hand, with a medium amount of force. It certainly gets easier with age. It's a pain in the neck, but shoots so...
I have done this before, and it works. It's just a serious pain in the butt. You really have to lube the hell out of the brass and even then it's tough. I felt that it would have been far easier if I sized to an intermediate step first - like 7mm-08 Rem. This would require an additional die...
I just recently pulled the extra spring from mine and the trigger feels about half the pull it did previously. It took me about 10 minutes. There is a youtube video on how to do it. Link is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D626_sbknQo
This little bit of work makes the gune drastically...
Most people tend to lump all of "New York" together as referring to the city. 60% of the people live in like 5% of the area of the state. Most of the rest of the state has a totally different feel and attitude. It's like night and day. I don't want to make this a political argument, but for...
I have a Lansky sharpening system that I have owned for about 15 years. It makes sharpening so easy, I can't imagine how you could screw it up. In fact, I would rather use a system then try and freehand it, because the angles are perfect. I even have a little notebook that I keep in the case...
This one does not have the accutrigger. I found it's got about a 4 pound pull out of the box. I can make about an inch and a half group at 100 yards. It's a nice rifle for the price I paid. It seems that the accutrigger models are about $100 more or so for each comparable model.
I just picked up a brand new Savage Model 11 package gun chambered in .243 Win last week. It was $339 with a 9x Simmons scope at a local army/navy/sporting store. I would say $250 for yours used is a good deal, but you can find a new Savage rifle for not much more.
A revolver would be a good choice in this case. I personally don't think you can go wrong with a .357 magnum. You can fire 38 specials thru them to save some money when shooting targets and there are lots of different loads available between those two sizes. It won't jam under pressure like a...
